the long questions were related to people s perception about you...hw ur seniors rate u n stuff lyk that....jus dnt try to think of answers there what ever comes to ur mind put it on paper as u will definitly fall short of tym if u start thinkin on it

I am a student of NIT Rourkela...I have already arrived in Mumbai for my interview tomorrow (17th January)....I forgot to bring my CAT score card and admit card along (but i have the xeroxes)..But i have my XAT admit card and score card....Will they suffice?

If your XAT score is higher of the two, then it's not a problem..

My overall score is higher. But VA score is lower...I hope it is okay?

Can you suggest some last minute preparation for the interview (eg. figures, specific topics etc.)?

I hope the process doesn't get delayed (my slot it at 10 AM)....I have a flight to catch in the evening for Kolkata (I have my interview process for MDI there tomorrow)

Hi all,

I had my interviews today for Finance Specialisation.I was selected in 1st round (Acc to me , first round is selection and 2nd round elimination as pointed out earlier by many).

I will post both my interview experience.Also it had 2 tests in between , pointers for which already have been mentioned in earlier posts.

1st round students - 3 Finance , 2 Marketing , 1 IM
2nd round students - 2 Finance , 2 Marketing , 2 IM

It was a very good experience.Hope to get through. In 1st round 4(1 fin , 2 marketing , 1 IM ) got through

1st interview:

1. Intro with One thing not mentioned in profile sheet
2.Where have you heard about SP Jain (Website , pagalguy , seniors of SP etc.)
3.Views on IPL
4.Comment on Budget
5.Compare Interview and Group Interview

2nd interview:

1.Values decreasing in today's youth (students gunning dwon people )
2. Reason for above prob and what should be done to improve it?
3.Intro with your achievements
4.Why Finance?
5. Given names of 2 personalities , which one you will chose and why?

(Sachin/Dhoni, George Bush / Tony Blair, Kareena / Aishwarya , Medha Patkar / Arundhati Roy , Shahrukh / Aamir)

6.Work ex related


My advice : Just be yourself.

hey puys i m one of d lucky ppl who got a call in the 3rd list (finance)

the max calls r in finance specializatn. so can all previous call getters for finance specializatn write down finance related questns they were asked in their interviews so that v cn prepare accordingly...wud b of gr8 help

All interviews should get over on the same day. Since yours is at 3PM, it might go upto 7PM in the night (worst-case 7:30 PM).
