Hi
Sorry for posting my experience late.
Date : 25th March
Slot :12:30 pm
Although I had the 2pm slot, I reached early at 12:30 pm and was asked to register and verify my original certificates.
While signing on the attendance sheet, I could not help myself laughing as almost entire second page contained people aspiring for finance only.

We were surprised as we were called for the first GI before time.
In first GI, there were 6 people. I was the only one opting for IT.

We were all asked to Introduce ourselves taking a minute each.
"Why Finance?" was the most obvious question being asked to everyone. One lady in our group was grilled as she was aspiring to do finance to become entrepreneur along with her brother. Yet another person next to me said that he loved Maths and numbers.
For junta having entrepreneurial ambitions, the panel suggested them to learn the difference between corporate finance and finance needed for handling any new venture.
I was asked "Why IT" and "where do i see myself in coming years"?
Also, I answered the difference between products and service based company.
Another question was asked to Finance guys "Which is better - Merger or acquisition ?"
The panel was pretty impressive and knowledgeable.
Got selected through first GI. Next had a "psycho" test.

For the second GI, the panel consisted of Director and another senior professor.
We started with regular "introduce yourself" & "Why finance" briefly.
One girl in our group said that finance comes naturally to her.

Another person told about streamlining process in his company to achieve efficiency. I thought to myself if this guy has already done so much in two years, then probably he is wasting his time doing a mba.

The panel asked about "Any bad thing about process or Institute?" Junta said about repetitive questions in "psycho" test, interviews being held only in Mumbai, institute building design not impressive .....
The panel asked about "60,000 crore farm waiver in Budget". Since I had opted for IT, the question was for others(read finance). At last, other prof asked me if I was able to follow what others had said. I told him the details that I had read in the newspapers. He was impressed with my answer.
Next the panel asked about "CRR & monetary policy" to finance guys. Really did not understand their answers as everyone was uttering complex financial jargons.
Next, the panel focussed on personality side. They asked to describe ourselves in one word. They asked if we will ever compromise on our values. One fellow got grilled as he said that he might if he was to save anyone's life. The panel cross-questioned him on that point. Everyone said that they will never compromise on their values excepting me.

I told that I will in case of pragmatic cases and gave an example.
From profile sheet, we were asked to answer about adversity faced in our life. I think all of us handled this question well.
After another mini-psycho test, we all were free.
Just before leaving, one person had couple of questions for the panel.

Overall, I was impressed with both the panels in GI and institute also.

Good Luck everyone. All the best.
