Calling all call-getters from Pune to join up here. We'll be discussing GD / PI preparations, online and offline.

We had a similar thread last year, and the result was a group 15-20 strong, most of whom are now in the IIMs / other top b-school. Yours truly and a few others were left to carry the bandwagon into this year, though I'd definitely like to pass on the honour to somebody else for the next year.

Purpose of this thread : A common meeting point for call-getters from Pune ( IIM and other top b-schools ). After some basic introductions, we'll take this off PG, and into a yahoo or gmail group. There's no issue with staying, its just that it makes no sense to run a thread for 20-25 people. We'll then meet up someplace and decide how to move things along.

Last year, we'd all done close to 30-40 GDs together ( not online, in person ), and it was not only very useful ( for everybody else, as it turned out ), but a hell lot of fun. Today I am in touch with people in almost every IIM due to this.

I hope the mods dont have an issue with this.

Looking forward to getting things started here....I'll start off my with my introduction....

CAT Score : 99.72

Calls : IIM L,I,K

Other Calls : None, so far

Workex : A total of 25 months at the end of december in the automobile industry and an entrepreneurial venture.

Hey harshad ... good initiative
Its good to form a group of people who can practice GDs together ..
but try to do it in a private class ...
Find som1 good or decent who gives GD PI coaching and join there as a batch ..
in short you are choosing the best of the competition ( the group ) and also have an experienced moderator / mentor / teacher ...

Incase this is not possible ... having one of the group moderating the GD's is

Would it be possible to have a meetup this weekend? (Saturday?)...Sunday ko FMS hai, isliye saturday

FC Road or some such area whic is closer to the city centre? Let me know your views on the meetup.

Very keen on PG meet - how about Mocha, Sunday evening at 7 pm?
We meet if 5 people confirm. I know some people personally who will come anyway. So - all you have to do is "thank me" for this post - and confirm you can make it. Else reply and say its not convenient and suggest alternatives.

We'll take a call on this either on Sunday morning or if we get 5 "thank-you"s, which ever is earlier.

Got a call from IIM-I..

I am working in Infosys,Pune... dunno, for how long i will stay in pune.. work ex- 6 months..

good to see great scores here..
I am planning to give one more shot at CAT/(IIM-A/B/C) next year, with some preparation.. so far, i have been taking CAT too casually..

But i wud like to convert my I call this year, though i am not very interested in joining IIM-I..

Thank you for your wishes, profootball..... I am planning to do it in a private class..... for everyone else, all of us went to this private class in Pune. Before you run off shouting 'advertising !', i'll clarify that its a come-anytime-you-want-go-anytime-you-want and pay whatever you want ( nothing if you dont like it ) kind of place. Basically we all pool in to pay for the costs ( each GD / PI is videotaped and you can sit there all day watching them if you please ). Last year I payed 700 bucks, but many people did not pay anything. No questions regarding this will be asked. Details when we meet.

And, no, I dont gain anything from this.

yes, its the same place 'zanyzaphod' was last year.

Saturday / sunday sounds good. Lets make it sunday..... FMS will be done with........ How about 6 pm, FC Road CCD ?

Anybody and everybody with calls to the top b-schools ( that def includes both the schools you've mentioned ) is welcome. Anyway, I am nobody to say this school is bad and this, good, so there's no issue about that anyway.

Suggesting CCD because you dont have to pay any minimum charges for large groups and stuff. Plus its better lit and all, so its much easier to have a conversation there.

An IIM is an IIM is an IIM. Anyway, you can decide all that later in April after converting it......

Please confirm how many of you will be definitely coming / tentatively coming / not coming alongwith your friends.
