There will be a template provided by L, which should reach you by post/courier. It will have all the details which you need to fill about yourself and will serve as your resume. No need to carry another self-created resume unless asked for.

Hmm.. good question I must say. See, knowing the statistics will be helpful in the sense that you can throw them to the group in your GD to back up your opinions and inferences. Get to know the very fundamental statistics like GDP of India, its growth rate, inflation, dollar exchange rates etc. There is no need to know the figures accurate upto 3 decimal places. Just an idea would do. The figures will help you in your interview as well.

More than the figures (which keep on changing on a daily basis), it is more important to know how these variables get affected, which leads to what and why they are fluctuating so much these days. If you know the basics of how the economic variables interact then it would be an added advantage. But you are not expected to know them since this is what you learn in here.

So keep reading about the economy in newspapers and do take help if you do not understand them.

Thnks a ton for that.. the brings me to my next question.. i have a;ways had a basic idea of ehats been happening with the economy but never tried to dwell deeper into it.. Now something like how did teh Indian market not see a big fall even when SEBI banned the Foriegn investors is something that goes totally over my head.. how do i go about understanding stuff like this.. teh nespapers are of help in letting us know about thi stuff but not in understandung them.. so is there some source where i can understand teh basic dynamics of how an economy functions.. the basic factors etc etc..

another thing i wanted to know was if there are going to be topics in GD about economy and other stuff then will they be directed towards the current scenario or something that happened some time ago which was of significant importance at that time (say the splitting up of reliance) could also be included as GD topics?

if i am not wrong you are referring to the recent fall when the SEBI instructed that money through Partcipatory Notes will be stopped after certain period, it did not ban Foreign Investors . It was in last week of October i guess.

I am actively into derivatives trading and often have leveraged positions in the market. Though i do not understand hardcore technical analysis, i know a thing or two about futures trading. If i mention this in my interview what type of questions can I expect??

Yup i was referring to that.. and this what i am referring to when i say i have an over teh top idea of things but seriously don't know what is happening.. SEBI had comeout with a ruling on FII investors.. it was to do with not allowing trading.. But as a layman all i understood was that the market gonna take a hit coz foriegn investors are gonna withdraw big time.. now these are things that are simply not my cup of tea.. i am not able to make head and tail of this stuff.. so i wanted to knwo if there are resources where i can read up and know abt this stuff
