Very True!! Can you suggest where can we find the soft copies of last 10 years CAT paper,I searched for that thread but not getting what I am looking for.Anyone here who can provide me the link,website etc?

Hi,
I dont have time to join any classes in Pune and as I have to move to uSA I want to take some good materials with me.I have IMS material of last year.I could not appear bcoz of hectic work schedule..This year again I need to appear,can anyone who has joined TIME classes share some ideas about material.

What would be best plan for guys like me who doesnt have much time and have to solely depend on himself as far as prepearation is concerned?Although I will be always in touch through this pg with you people...Ideas welcome

Finally a Pune thread !! , i had posted this kinda thread earlier but nobody

I am not diff than other people ,
working as an SAP consultant in L&T Infotech since past 1 year..
Passed out as an egineer in 2006.
Appeared for CAT 2006 with full preparation but as somebody said its the pressure that makes up erros...so did i.. (Messed up in QA,)
Joined TIME weekend batch (c8w6 bacth, anybody from this batch??)
well pune puys, plan any meet so that we can start up things together
and lets makes this journey memorable...lets BELL THE CAT

Vivek It is certainly not easy for working people like u and me to manage CAT preparation and work schedule. I feel that you'll not have much time for solving course material provided by two institute in USA.
SO I'll suggest u to go for only one Institute material. I have given cat 2 times believe me I am yet to complete 50% of material given to me by CL. I have once taken cursury look of IMS material It seems to me pretty OK.Anyway if you insist on TIME material Then u can call TIME franchise they can offer you sth considering you are potential IIM call getter for them. Or if they refuse to give course material only, then you always have pirated material available in market.

But it would be good if you can identify some online resources for individual subject Like
for verbal-- some good magazine (like economist.com) , Few nice blogs.
For DI - CAT 2008,MAT Preparation 2008,MAT 2008,CAT,MAT prep at your fingertips,Preparation for CAT 2008 and other MBA entrance exams like MAT, SNAP, XAT,IBSAT,JMET
For quants - some books like arun sharma ..or so...

for those all from pune who are going for CAT 2008 and looking for coaching inst.

deccan area has got almost all coaching inst,

IMS on FC road, near TIMES of INDIA building,
career forum on FC road, behind british library,
PT on FC road, near SAI petrol pump,
TIME in front of APTE college, on the road which is parallel and between FC road and JM road.

one can join any of these inst as all have got good records, can visit to their websites for details and add,

but its more important that how much you prepare on your own, how much efforts u urself put into and the dedication. Coaching just provide u the study material but it is important that they guide u and show the path for what exactly to do.

also its more impotant to join a test series, i mean MOCK-CAT series which is held on ALL OVER INDIA basis so you come to know ur standing.
more practice u do, more comfortable and confidant u become before the CAT.
but unless u analyse the MOCK-CAT, its of no use. so please and please analyse the papers u gave.

Hey here I go...I have purchased the book Arun Sharma for QA and found it good..I got its reference in pg only..started working on it...What about others?I know its early time so CAT fever is not that much but soon we will be back on track ..How about TIME classes,guys whoever has joined do let us know how many chapters you have covered there so far..share some good tricks in QA like approximation and all in relevent QA thread in pg and provide link here in Pune Junta threa...what say?

I am working here since the past 8 months for an IT company, and have enrolled in TIME Kothrud. Work for me is only a stop gap arrangement before the next step to higher studies. I am originally from Delhi but have fallen in love with Pune, especially its weather and the 'crowd' I keep lounging about the forums in my free-time, especially in the Quant sections (though the Math sections of my brain wouldn't light up a MRI scan) Hope to see more of you around.
