CAT 2008 for Working Professionals -
27-12-2007, 11:31 AM
Does your IIM Pass Out PM ask you about your CAT preparation?
Does he ask you to leave early because it is Nov and CAT is coming?
Does your Practice Head, while deciding your new Project assignment consider that in Nov you need to stay in your Base Location?
During every May-June-July,do you think of quitting your job to prepare all-out-for-no-loss once for CAT?
Yes,I know..
You are finding similarities, beacuse these are the Questions of every next person appearing CAT,and you are one of them..
I am starting this Thread for Working Professionals appearing for CAT..
Our focus will be on coming CAT..
Now for CAT 2008..
Then may be for CAT 2009..
So that peers can get a help from this thread..
I expect this place will be some of our's Second Home..
You can share your success,failures,anything..and above all CAT related Discussions..
Like-Preparaiton,Stratagies,Scores,..I mean everything..
C'mon..
Lets build a Family..A BIG One..
Wishing You all Best Wishes for Coming New Year..
Always Keep Well..
P.S.-To Moderators,If you think this Thread is irrelevant,Please do the Needful.
Later.

Re: CAT 2008 for Working Professionals -

Hi arun_juee,
Indeed i find many of those mentioned scenarios closer to what i am facing, I am preparing for CAT '08 (my second attempt), my first exp was not good..
well my cat story goes like ---> i prepared a lot and kept my AIRs constant & bellow 200 always.I appeared for CAT '06, but i messed it up totally on the D-day, QA is my nemisis and it lived to its name. Only thing i could conclude out of it is CAT is a mind game, if you are successfull in keeping cool, then your are almost there, else you are out..
Now i too am a working guy and looking for good co-operation from all seniors for various learnings and inputs...
Can anybody who had weak QA skills but later on improved and Belled the CAT guide me on his/her exp. so that i can help me too??
Thanks & Regards.

@arun_juee
Thanks for opening this thread ...
The next one year is going to be the most important year in the history of our lives. Because what we do from Jan - Nov 2008 will decide our fate .
The pressure of the deliveries and the deadlines will always be the strongest opposition in this journey , but the sojourn will be memorable.
One thing that we need to understand clearly is that CAT 2008 is the last cat for us - else we will again be out of focus and bank upon CAT 2009 and this process is never ending.
Party hard the last four days of this year and let 1st Jan mark the beginning of our journey .
HAPPY NEW YEAR ... for us the next nov will decide whether the year was at all a happy and fulfilling one ....
Regards
