Thankoo hai

The thing is, I've been a slacker all my life. And this quality gained unprecedented prominence during my engineering days.

I never really studied for more than a day for any exam (I was called a one-day-wonder -- past year papers rock !!), and I took a few mocks in 2k6 with the same mentality. So what happened was that I became a pro at identifying the sitter questions and just skipping the tough ones (since I didn't know any formulae/fundae).

I guess this is one of the most important aspects in CAT. So I guess I just got lucky :gunsmilie:

Of course, the concepts have to be there and I realize that is where I was lacking, but this ability makes life much more easier.

So, if any of you are willing to experiment, you can go ahead and take a few tests with limited prep....let's see if something positive comes out of it

It should be an interesting experiment !!!!

Hey man,

To tell you the truth, I didn't apply anywhere else.

The first time, I didn't really expect a good score, and the second time I figured I could afford to have multiple attempts (not in any hurry !).

I've been called an idiot multiple times by multiple people just cos of this...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but an IIM is worth a little wait right oketoungeb:

So trying to give my best minus all my previous blunders this time.
Is there a pattern here ???

Does less prep mean more percentile ?!!!!!!

Does less prep mean more percentile ?!!!!!!
LESS PREPARATION may not equal more percentile or it may....less preparation usually amounts to less expectations.....that leads to less burden.....that amounts to less worries and jitters during the 2.5 hours.....that amounts to on the spot strategy.....basically CAT becomes just another aptitude test....just another mock......and so that mostly leads to nice scores..........may not be superbly exceptional but definitely nice.......since NERVOUSNESS on the big day I believe at least reduces the percentile u r capble of..........as for me CAT 2007 was just like that and I could manage 94.38 percentile OA with just 12 odd hours of preparation in total...................didnt apply anywhere nor did sit for any other exam (no XAT, FMS etc)........thats a different story altogether.........the key is NOT TO LOSE SLEEP over any exam............doesnt matter whether u prepare or not........:hurray::hurray:
