Re: CAT 2008 for Working Professionals - 10-04-2008, 10:45 PM

Hi Everyone
This is my first post ..my story is no different from all of u ...
I have around 3 yrs of exp (in boring , monotonous n demanding IT industry).
I have changed 4 companies in past 3 years in search of better profile but it is same everywhere. :frown:
Appeared in CAT twice (2005 w/o prep => 86%ile , 2007 with 2 months prep => 76%ile) ...disappointed but not shattered. Would try my luck this time with preparation.
Planning to join coaching classes but their fees are sky rocketing ( more than 25K )...... havent taken a decision yet to join or not :-?
Any one who is about to join any weekend coaching classes in Delhi ??

Regards
Amit

Hey prashan ,

I also tried self but within 1 month came to know that it is difficult to get urself inspired and motivated while wotrking. study material is not all thing ,u have to go many underpasses that will not clear through self, so i joined weekend batch. otherwise all depend on u , if u had gone through any coaching last year u can prepare self bt not alone. its my personal exp .if differ from others i am sorry .

hiii frnds....

I was planning a way to tackle the verbal section in CAT.....Was just going through the website Dictionary.com and found that there is facility provided by them of "WORD OF THE DAY".... i have subscribed for it and if you people also want it you can go and register for the same.

Also wanted to inform there is an archive of all the previous word of the day and shud be enough for cat.....Hope this makes it easier to crack the verbal section of CAT....

All the best
