Re: CAT 2008 for Working Professionals - 30-03-2008, 12:57 AM

Regarding the kind of support you get in office ..... It all boils down to how well you are able to concentrate on work while your CAT preperations are in full swing ... I know it sounds cliched .. But its a fact ...

My own experience - Initially was able to work normally as I always used to .. But once my performances in MOCK started taking a hit around mid-September , I was not able to concentrate fully on my work ... Any break,I would take out the MOCK paper and start solving the wrong sums .... It din help me either in my professional front or in my CAT ... So guys , my advice - Never , ever , ever think of CAT or MBA while in office ... An often-repeated but golden advice ... Actually office work can sometimes take the stress out of your preperations - It can serve as a deviation ..... And its better not to take your MBA plans to your workplace ..... Different ppl take it differently, but why take a chance ? And in most cases , bosses might not allow the project work to take a hit for your CAT preps .... So better not to let your teammates or anyone know about your MBA plans ...
It does not hurt anyone anyway ....

ALL THE BEST ....

Cheers .....

yeah
i totally agree with you as i have been facing the same problem right throughout my prep for cat'07...
the inference i have taken bout the same is that no one shud come to know bout these things in the office...
otherwise they build up an unnecessary tension in mind...
instead one shud use the internet resources to the full, instead of any visible books or so...
coz minimizing a window won't land u up in trouble...;-)

I also agree with u guys , In my opinion we cant swim in two boats ,
So we have to choose one , I chose CAT , whenever I get time in office I used to go some forums and some preparatory sites. minimizing window is really a great thing, and dont try to get oversmart by taking extra responsibility, avoid this , I know i am chaeting with my employer, but its all fare in LOVE,WAR and CAT.
what u say guys.
