hi guys.would like to post my view.get done with the basics 1st and expose urslf to as many varieties as possible to acquire flexibility to the brain so tht it doesnt fumble while hitting completely new ques in cat.sit down and jot ur areas of weaknesses and plan accordingly to overcome those.every1 has got unique potentials and by smart judging only he can find out where he stands at present and what must be done to lift himself up to the next level.and yes self belief is the 4most step in this regard.all other stuffs come after this.
lets discuss whatever books u guys are following each for quants and verbal.
luv
bantee

lyfe bcomes wot we make of it, and wot we make of lyfe dpends entirely on how we manage d ideas tht come to our brain

and its all total different if one doesnt hav a brain

CL n Time both r excellent... their is a separate thread here for 'which institute to join for coaching'... tht's a gr8 help... i think CL has got a good classroom training... n Time has some very good study mat.. it's vast n detailed...moreover...Time also has a great test series... which no matter wot inst u join... u must register for!! i went to the time centre at Aundh... but din get a chance to speak to the faculty... did spk to the faculty over at CL... was quite impressed!! if ur focus is on the material.. then Time hands down... wot u can do is drop in at the centres... meet wid the instructors.. discuss ur weakness wid them, tak a quick look at the study mat...n then decide...!! both inst hav weekend batches for workin ppl...

Dreamer, it essentially depends on the kind of rapport that one has. For example, I had told folks in my organization that I'd be appearing for CAT. My manager had given me a look that said "Abbe 2.5 lakh log dete hain...tu bhi de de."

But even after I cleared, I didn't really face any trouble at work. Now, folks know that I have at least one convert, and that I will be resigning soon. But that hasn't really harmed me in any way.

I think it depends on the people u r working with... i can cite an example of one of my frnds working with me... he wanted to write CAT07.. but he had lots of work loaad n hence couldn't study... he mentioned it to everybody that he was preparing for CAT.. so he started getting less work n hence more time to study... so u see it works sometimes...

Cheers,

Trideep
