hi saurabh,
please search the threads with the query 'general knowledge'...
u'll get a whole lot of threads on GK...having great content themselves or atleast referring to some other links...

also a daily dose of a gud newspaper can keep u update on the GK and the current affairs...
i hope i am not ambiguous in my answer...
rest regarding the speed and accuracy...the only mantra is practice...no short cuts...

Hi all,
I m Allen. here is my profile:-
Btech Electronics & Communication - 72%
ISC - 88.5 %
ICSE - 86%
Working in IT company for last 19 months..

CAT 07 was my 1st one:- 86.4 %tile (failed miserably on the D day)
Though i was aiming at CAT08 i had gone to IMS classes and attended the SIMs..but cudnt prepare well owing to the hectic office hours...the condition is going to be the same this year as my project is in expanding phase...but CAT08 will be the final one for me. nd i want to make it the big one..so planning to resign by Sep08 to prepare(will have exprnce of 27 months then) ..what say PUYs??...??:??:
I will be joining for mock exams by July after the OPEN CATS(hope to get a discount )
Quant nd DI fundas r ok for me but lack in speed.PUYs what to do with speed??...
saw improvements in VA last year ending up 92%tile for CAT07...Whenever i read i record new words nd meanings in a book. This has helped me a lot.
Recently started reading ET...but i m very worried abt general awareness...please advice me on how to improve this??

I feel it is ok to resigh in September. It will give you ample time to prepare. As far GK goes, if your read newspaper regularly, I am sure it will improve by the year end.

@alpz :
resigning might not be a gud idea. Though it is my personal opinion, may vary with others.
the reason i wont prefer u to resign is that , one of my friend was in a grp interview in Spjain, whr smone was in a similar situation as he had resigned from the job to prepare for CAT,the interviewer was very scepticle about this step. and was insolent to him, sayin "if cant manage study and work then mgmt is far fetch for u".
so if u think to resign then be ready to be cribbled with similar kinda situation.
