Please note DI is a combination of LR based DI sets.. what i mean is that you would need to apply reasoning in the DI sets.. I would suggest :

1. First start with the basics of DI from any of the materials.Try to get familiar with different kinds of questions for e.g bar graphs to pie charts etc etc... Arun Sharma /Classes- anyone

2. Try to solve questions which simply involve pure DI i.e calculations and interpreting data again.

3.Solve LR Caselets again available at the end of Arun Sharma..

4. Once you are done with 1,2,3 .. you would be familiar with DI concepts and LR concepts ..it would be time for you to attack a combination of both questions. Attempt questions where direct statistics in tables are provided with LR based information and questions.Refer any of the classes materials

5. Mock cats- Would help you know where you stand and where to improve.

any other inputs are most welcome..i would also like to know more.. !

Yaar reading speed doesnt matter ne more .CAT 07 required a reading speed of 138 wpm including reading the questions .

wat is required is a reading from diverse areas.

i am posting the following links wherein u can get articles from the major areas of interest to the examiners.

Read for an hour daily for the next 2 months and analyse these articles .try to make summaries.beleive me there will be a considerable change.unfortunately i dint do that in 07.will do it in 08 for sure.infact i have started it.

here are the links

Hi Friends,

I am right now concentrating on VA as it ruined my past two CAT attempts.
Since no material is available to me,I am just reading anything from internet.

No plans to start DI.

Planning to start QA from first TIME materials and then Arun Sharma and other stuff.

If I read something interesting,I'll post the link here.

Later.
Arun K Majumdar

True, 4 CAT/XAT reading speed doesn't matters, more emphasis shld be on comprehension. Also as options are very close and confusing.
However 4 other exams reading speed is definetly a plus.

Regarding magazine Economist is the best, however its costly 150/-. May be its available in u r company library.

One of the way to decrease the discontinuity is - may be u can install a dictionary software in u r system. whnevr u face a different word just refer to it. it is fast and effective. this saves lots of time and also the continuity
also if u have internet in u r system you can always refer to the site : Dictionary.com

just a suggestion as it works for me
