Hey kartik.....
The tried and tested funda for grammer is again READING READING and READING ...... its tested on me :whatthat:...... I took reading as in july everyday 1hr-1.5hr NON STOP (no breaks)..... till CAT 2007 (i.e 4 mnths )I could see my %line in VA go up .... in Mock Cats from mere 83%tile i scored 98 in CAT ......
Also, I think that the "language correction" cannot be learnt, it is developed with time and you cannot always open a book to check what should be used- "since" or "till" .....
It comes down to the "habbit" of coming across the phrases frequently and implementiig your habit in the actuall test .

I strongly recommend READING for VA ...... rest depends on "Again" the sincerity you show towards yours prep.

Once you know the rules, the game

also for grammar part it is better to go thru GMAT stuff . becoz nowadays CAT english is drifted towards GMAT pattern .it is a mix of both logical and rules. last year ive gone thru GMAT material for my verbal preperation, it helped me alot.

HI!!!

Well if u r totally new to reading .. then i wud suggest u to start off with some fiction... try reading books by jeff archer, john grisham, etc... u ll find them interesting... then when u get a habit of reading.. then u can start non fiction.. i am telling u this as u ll find fiction a bit interesting... so u can continue reading... startin with non fiction might get u bored initially... also i wud suggest u not to read books only with the intention of preparing for CAT... take interest in what u r reading... Happy reading!!!;-)

Cheers,

Trideep
