Hi,

I think I am decent @ QA.
To start with please have a look at some basic materials from any insti material, then refer Arun Sharma(focus on LOD II and LOD III).

This will help.

Anyone having any other suggestions, please carry on.

At present busy in deciding which insti to go for: CL/IMS in CP, Delhi.
Any info abt them r welcome.
Hi,

I don't have any idea about Delhi.
But Nationally IMS is better I think.
Because no of Mock takers is high in IMS than CL.

Class rooms are all same, instructions in classrooms hardly depends.
But what depends most there should be one( or more than one)instructor who will inspire(simultaneously criticize)you and guide you through the Journey.

Others,Please put your comments.

Thanks for the reply, i have studied a lot through basic material that too many times, i think my approach is not right to look at QA questions, i many times rely on formulas that one problem i can see, i have found that we should follow "TWI" approach (think without ink), but anymore suggestions are welcome.

Thanks & Regards.

Re: CAT 2008 for Working Professionals - 29-12-2007, 07:46 PM

Hey all,
Today my classes started off at TIME kolkata..
We've had sessions on :
1. Logic: Deductions.

2. Quant: Two short tests on math basics and numbers.

Currently am planning to simultaneously keep track of Arun Sharma and problems from Nishit Sinha coz i've been out of touch for a long time with it...atleast seems like it...

Anyways guys...its imperative that we keep the weekends for anything that we need to follow on for preparing ourselves...

But I would also be the devil's advocate and mention two finer points:

1. Dont over indulge..then a burnout would be very probable in four five months..
2. Since we're the "workin class"..lol...its not excuse enough to concentrate on CAT preps only during the weekends....give around an hour or so everyday.....coz at the end it's all about aptitude... and if you don't love this, it won't be easy...
Hope I'm able to bring everything into perspective...

Peace
-Yudhajeet

Well...lets analyze that..
Arun Sharma: Good fundas...nice tricks especially in the first four five chapters and geometry..the question bank is good for practice.
Nishit Sinha: Great collection of problems. Fundas are not very persuasive and a lot of typo mistakes.
TIME: Well, I kinda liked the quant class better than the logic class..the latter screamed "go back home and revise"..lol...the main thing is...perspective..i've been assigned a mentor named Sajal Mitra and he sat with me for two hours today to chalk out a program for myself for the whole of next month. Nice person with strong direction...
Hope I can deal justice to the plan he's given me

Peace..
