I had been in same situation this yr. I am sharing my personal experience. Many times coaching institute classes are not much helpful but they help to focus on CAT studies. Initially I thought of self study but I was very irregular in studies. After joining coaching class, I somehow able to get time for studies.

If u r strongly motivated, u can do self study. But if u can be distracted, then better join coaching institutes. And the most important thing "Do Join CAT test series." They r very very helpful.... best of luck...

So i wanted to know if there is an institute in Bangalore suitable for working junta as in where i don't end up wasting my time...
hey! me too at CTS
watever u said makes sense... no point going thru basics all over again... if u think u're cool wid basics, i'd suggest u wait for sometime and join some crash course.. there'er plenty of good ones in blore.. keep a check. But if ure really keen to learn somethin cool, while lookin for somethin more than jus rona-dhona-old tutorial stuff.. i'd suggest u check out this guy called Byju. A lot of CTSites go to him.... btw... which buildin are u? BTP by any chance? wats your ID... maybe we can meet.

I am expecting a large no of calls (None from IIM) and I desparately want to convert one one . I have experience of 18 months in
it industry and I have been kicked out twice fron interviews of reputed B-schools last year.
Now shall I resign/take leave from the comapny or continue i cant decide. The lure of filthy lucre is making me continue. I mean who will like to take a hit of 70 - 80 K Rupees

My Struggle has just started again

An assumption that everyone from this thread will be giving CAT 09 would not be a very wise one to make. I am sure there are lots of people in this thread who must have done well in CAT 08 and other exams this year. ANd I am sure they would want this thread to be active till the end of this season as a good amount of camaraderie has been developed among the regular visiotrs of this thread. So hence this thread will not be closed till some more time

PS: Had to post this becasue of repeated requests from raghav to close this thread

hi bhai logon,
thanx for such a warm response from your side...
even i couldn't get any IIM call with a meager score of 97.1x but i am banking on some other calls...
lets see what is stored in for us this season...

@arun bhai, i believe there are other batches of boot camps being started at CL...
you must get in touch with them and get the info...
also, consider this as a lifetime opportunity (do or die)...
that will do a lot good to you...
you can easily convert this yaar...
best of luck...

@jayaram, as a personal view i am going to join a b-school this year if i convert any...(amen )
coz i don't have much problems if i don't get IIMs or XL...
its just that i am quite bored of IT field and just want to change my line...
also at this score you must get calls from NITIE n MDI easily and believe me they are good colleges...unless you have that "IIM hi jana hai attitude"
rest is your take entirely...
best of luck...
