Hi puys,

tell me 1 thing.is there any way through which i can make it to 95%+ in the coming CAT.
I don know how to manage time.Infact I have tried all the ways.
And now the game has become tough.

Being in an IT firm does not give me ample time to study.
12 hours of work+certifications+current affairs for other exams+DI+QA+RC+EU.:2gunfire:

Please tell me how to manage time???

And my scores, can't be sure of.It fluctuates like anything. What can be the reason for this fluctuation.I tried to find out but could not get to the depth of it.:2gunfire:

I know this is an exam of time management. But can one get his aims accomplished if the time left to manage is just 2 months???

Please suggest.

he he,
that's a very good question abhi...
even i am trying to find the answer to it for the past 6-7 months...
buddy, the only way is hard work...
every one has his problems...constraints...limitations...
but the people who make it to their dream B schools are no way different from we people...
they just show their mental strength...that's it...
i can't suggest you anything that answers you query, but still would like to tell you to go through this thread itself...because many a times this question has been raised and answered in this thread itself...
so please take the pain of going through this thread once and i hope you will definitely get the answer...

PS : no offenses

Hello Guys,

Well i have just started working (2 months) in an IT firm and also i am preparing for CAT..
My work ex in da cat form was a miserable 2 months ??:
and would have completed almost 12 months, at the time of joining a college..

So will i get anywhere any benefit of it( while selection and placement), or will it go waste??

See, any work experience is helpful otherwise they(IIMs) must have kept a benchmark like atlest 4-5 months of work ex....But only work ex doesn't matter. They WILL ask you about the nature of your work and the projects handled by you. If you are undergoing some sort of training in the company, it will not be considered as work ex as you wont be working on live projects. May be when u finally go for interview...by that time you have some hands on exp. and that will certainly help you a lot.
But again, for two months, there's not much you can expect. So do better in CAT and your JOB so that both can bolster your overall chances.

ATB

P.S. :- Work ex is by no means a criteria for getting into IIMs. Lotza freshers go...nd widout any work ex...So study well...and perform well...the only mantra...I am having 15 months of work ex in IT (core coding and all that stuff) and m not banking on it...

I do also have a bond of 2 years(now only 7-8 months left) of 75000. I didn't fill the forms last year and still regret it!! See if you are comfortable with your job, then its ok....But if you feel like being choked(which i feel often), then no point in spending crap time there...Your bond reminds me of my own company...3 months training and 2 years job..but my training also got into the job thing...no issues...take the exam and give it your best..at the end of it..if you get a good college...then it will be your decision whether to go for mba or save 1 lakhs...wud u like to waste one more year just coz u dint pay 1 lakhs jus coz u had 4-6 months more???

Decide yourself...ask yourself...find out what you exactly want to do...only then you can answer this query..

P.S. :- I'd have left my 75000 with the company...it has already given me enough...

Thanks for taking out time to read that article...
