Not necessarily.

You can give them both if you wish.

You will only have to compromise on the timing and venue.

Enquire with your local TIME or IMS office regarding an alternate slot for giving the Mock CAT and they will inform you regarding the same.
At the Mumbai branch they do allow you to give the Mock CAT next day as well. But it won't be at any centre and you will be allowed to give the test if some of their classroom are vacant.

Concepts For CAT

CAT-2007: 99.43%ile
(QA-93.17; DI-95.64; VA-99.43::2 calls NO Converts)
CAT-2008: 98.19%ile
(QA-89.26; DI-96.42; VA-96.67) My Mock Scores for 2008
My Mock Scores for 2009

If everything is coming your way, BEWARE; you might be on the wrong lane.

Wren and Martin is not really a comprehensive VA book, it only focuses on grammar. For things like para jumbles, sentence correction, and word power, I feel one should refer to Arun Sharma, and Norman Lewis.

hi deepak,
u can try Arun Sharma for DI and LR but it doesn't possess the level of questions generally found in CAT or XAT or others...
i suggest u must get the mock tests and then practice the DI exercises because they have the best questions (quality-wise) and will help u prepare for the exam well...:-)
