About the PGP program, to be honest, it is a great program. It offers more industrial exposure than MBA. It has got a lot of international tie-ups and the new campus is solely made for the PGP students. It is definitely a great course and there is no doubt bout it.

I'll be joining the PGP batch 2008-10 in alliance....However i m not very sure of the internship programs being offered by the college....Neither am I very confident about the Michigan program being elaborated by the Dean...Hope u will put some light into the matter....thanx...

hiii seniors!!!
i have taken adm in pgp 2008-10.....well i have some queries ...cud u plz throw some light on it....
1. since d collg doees nt provide laptop...does it make some provision for us to get one.....if yes of which brand???
2. wud we need laptop right frm d beginning itself in sem one.....
3.do we have a dress code ....i have heard tht no jeans or t-shirts are allowed ...is it true....
4.we wre told tht our nw campus wud be ready by 15 july....is it ready...hav u visited it aftr completion.....i m vry eager to see it....

Well here are your answers...
1. The college can arrange for laptops at a subsidised rate if students are willing to buy in bulk. The brand may be HP, Compaq
2. I do suggest that you carry a laptop, it is very helpful in making presentations and doing assignments.
3. Yes there is a dress code, from monday to friday students have to be dressed in formals, ties are compulsory. Saturday is the casual day.
4. The campus is almost ready, be patient, your class will be held there ..

i have a query regarding the eligibility at alliance, I'm a b.com (hons) graduate from orissa. here the honours papers are in the 2nd & 3rd year only.

X - 69.7%
XII - 70%
b.com - complete 3 years including pass subjects - 59.2%
- only hons papers,i.e 2nd & 3rd year - 63.9%

In the college certificate..the %age secured is written 63.9% (hons).

am i eligible to apply for alliance (MBA or PGDM) through sept and dec mat..!!! help me out guys..really confused..!!!!

As far as I can say, i think that you are eligible. But i suggest strongly that you confirm the same by calling up the admissions department.

I m joining the PGP Program of Alliance for the 08 batch. Can you please let me know whether the college is also offering majors in operations?

I also wanted to know whether the industry training is being offered by the college or the students have to try on their own for it?

Hi there,

The college does not offer major in operations for the PGP course.
The college does provide assistance in summer internships as it does for the final placements.
