Hi ...

I am a s/f engineer with IBm , total work ex 3 years , i scored very badly in cat and other exams and i don;t wish to wait for a year again , i am think about the part time mba at ABA , can anyone who has allready taken up that prog give me some first hand info about it , is it worth aking it up , and in case if i wish to go for placements , how are they , what kind of package can i expect , currently i am earning aroud 4 , please advice ,

finaly got thrgh d admission process ...... PHEWWW ....... grilled for 13 hrs .............

please tell me in detail about ur interview as I have some really good story to tell u all bout it.
The only question asked to my sis who went over there was "Will you join Singapore Campus", she said NO. The reply came "Why not?", obviously, the answer was "Financial Problems (inside she spoke "You fools")".
The result came out & as expected she was not selected although she has got calls from many a institutes, she was pissed out on this, cause I spend 2500/- for her reservation ticket alone.
Just enlightening souls who are going after it....

wel i was expecting posts like dis for sure , bt after gng thrh d intrvw process myself n knowing quite many ppl n their interviews in details .... in no wayz cud dey wud hav asked her only one question , d singapore campus question was asked to everyone to knw their preferences , bt there were other qustions as well ...... kndly ask ur sister to reinforce her memory a bit ....
n as she has got calls frm other instis as well , i wish her ALL D BEST n hope she goes thrgh better interview experiences

thank you garima for your post.
it is true that they could not have asked the preference alone as a question in the interview, they asked everyone to fill out a form earlier asking for the same. so there should not be any speculations on that.

hi there.. i agree with garima.. talking about my PI experience.. i was asked 2 questions and the duration was of 1 minute.. i saw a lot of ppl complaining about so less no. of questions and short duration of the interview.. there were 4 panelists .. but according to me if a single person askes you 8 questions in 10 min and 4 ppl judge you on just 2 questions.. its more or less same if not better.. obviously these 4 ppl are highly experienced and have diffrenet priorities and parameters in mind while judging the same candidate! So its better for the individual as he/she is not getting judged by a single mind!

Coming to my questions:
1. How was the day so far?
2. Why should we take you?

Initially i wasnt sure if m gonna take up the course.. but when i met the faculty.. the seniors.. the alumini.. wen i attended the whole process and saw the kind of refining they have done.. i decided to take up the course!
The only hurdle in its way was the lack of a camps to boast about.. but i hope everybody knws about the new campus they are building and when we(students) wished to have a look at it.. they arranged transport for the students and parents!
And the campus is huge and reaaly awesome..!!

So buddy a bad experience doesnt mean that everything related to that experience is bad! I am talking about both the college and the candidate!
Its just a bad day!

hey..i am joining abs too..i could not see the campus as i had to catch a flight on the same day. so how was it?there are a few pics in prev posts..but not really enough..can u share ur experience?

i did nt go to d new campus thrgh d colege , went on my own a day b4 d interview.
the new campus is 36 acres big , and is situated in a vry vry beautiful n scenic place, near d village "anekal". d constructon is in full swing, thr structures hav al been built, finishing n furnishing remains. it looks exaclty as u can c it in d prospectus. d amphitheatre is awesomeeeeeeeeee. d hostels r ready, n comfortable. d library is humongous, all in all d campus is one of d vry best dat i hav seen . d student activity centre has a pool , a gym etc. thrz a lake being built in between d hostels bt dat wil take time i guess. the learning centre has big n gr8 classrooms. as u enter the main gate on ur right is d admonistrative block n further down d left is a library. both of dem beautifully architected wid domes n pillars , gives a gr8 front look to d college

Yeah.. the campus is truly awesome!

The structures are tremendous.. every building is very huge in itself.. be it the admin block.. the academic block.. the library.. they dnt have a mess hall.. its a food court.. then the hostel (boys n gals).. in the hostel there are two rooms attached together.. either a person can take up single accomodation or on twin sharing basis.. The guy said that the hostel, library and the academic block will be done by the time we will join.. rest of the construction like the sports track.. swimming pool.. gym and all will continue .. he said that there is a railway station behind the collg frm where u can catch a local train to reach main city.. otherwise the campus is pretty isolated from the main city!
Yeah.. that guy also showed us the place in the academic block where they are building an amphitheatre that can hold 2000 ppl..!!!

So everything about it was great.. i just hope that they are done with the basic construction ..and very importantly the levelling of roads.. by the time we join!!
