Hi Piyush,
met you at alliance...i am one of the unfortunate ones who dint make it to alliance.i had a score of 93.01, and 99.76 in english alone.I have work experience of 2 years.interview had been very good and almost thought i had made it into alliance.but when the list was put up, i wasn't there and though i waited fr the waiting list, when i called up this morning, the receptionist informed me that no waiting list was put up for MBA (BU) as all seats have been filled.perhaps i tuk a hasty move of chosing MBA (BU)-30 seats on Sunday with 3 packed classes (or more)aspiring for the same.but it is truely disheartening....

Re: Alliance Business Acadamy 2008-10 batch - 05-03-2008, 01:10 PM

Dear frnds...I had a really bad exp at alliance..my pi was on 2nd march 2008.
I reported der at 7:40 am.den we were taken to der facility 2 ,i.e der 2nd building..after reaching we wrote the damm easy written test.Den their was an extempore round.my topic was"Should technology replace umpires in cricket" I spoke for about 2mins 40 secs.after dis after a long wait the results of the 1st round was declared..and i was selected...but the worst part is dat a guy who said nothing at the extempore also got selected..
so basically selection is totally based on ur academics..

den after a long wait we had our intw..
and den waited for final results...
but sadly i was in the waiting list..
dey told me to call nxt morning..as i opted for pgp i was hoping to get selected...
but nxt morning when i called dey said they had some problems with selection and will tell me on 4th..

so what i think is Admission process at alliance is complete CRAP..

dey do already select candidates b4 intw..As b4 my intw 1 list of selected candidates was already out..

what my suggestion is join alliance at ur own risk....
so its better to eat popcorn..

Seats at alliance...
on 1st march:-
for pgp 102 out of 350 got selected..
for mba 30 out 60 got selected..

on 2nd march:-
for pgp 100 out of remaining 248 filled..

for mba bu..all seats are filled..

so remaining seats left at alliance is 148 i.e only for pgp.

MIND IT PLZ B4 GOING 2 ALLIANCE..

Hi there,
Well, i am sorry you could not make through, and maybe you had a bad experience here. But a lot of people who got selected were very positive about the selection process (No offense meant).
In the selection process weightage was given to profile, communication skills and "attitude", experts from the industry were here for the selection process alongwith the highly experienced faculty. Maybe you fell short on any one of the parameters for selection. Anyways we do take your criticism in a positive way and look forward to have you here again next time.
Good Luck

anyways the seniors were very interactive and helpful on tat day
thanks
In those 2 kms you were judged for just your ability to communicate and connect with the audience.
I think that 2-3 mins is more than enough to judge how good a person is at communication.

Thank you a ton for finding us to be of some help
