Well..My problem is much the same as most of the others here..

1. Haven't received any mail from SP Jain so far.. I'm just banking on the fact that my name is uncommon and there wont be another "Ajay Simha" in marketing.
2. Can someone throw light on this GI concept?
3. What is the basic cutoff necessary in CAT / XAT assume I make it through the interview?

I think you can verify that by the srno they have provided as the first column.And seniors, pls help us know the cut offs necessary to get a final call. I know its very vague to predict all this now but I remember one of my senior getting shortlisted last year with an excellent profile and a CAT score of 97%ile (his name appeared in the waiting list though).
I know S P Jain is a college that shortlist the candidates more on the basis of their profiles. But there should be some score that they would be looking for. Any idea?

Work-ex - 2yrs and 4 months..Grade - Team Lead..field - Software

versatility:

1. Violinist...(ve done some local concerts)
2. Associated with an NGO and actively involved in educating under privileged students
3. Lead for the travel n Adventure club n my office n ve organized a few treks
4. Some others done in college and school level

Achievements - Technical papers presented and prizes in some college level-school level cultural n literary events

Apart from the above..ve included some work place achievements, the certificates I had won in my work place, one academic achievement etc etc

Congrats to all call getters...lets kick start our GD-PI prep.

Hi Prasanna,

What are the profiles offered to IM grads passing out of SPJ? The website mentions implementation consultants and a few IT consulting companies. My assumption(this might be wrong too) is that a major chunk of IM students would have been application developers/testers(and not consultants and ERP specialists). So are these profiles based on a candidates prev experience?
In short, I want to know the kind of profiles offered to non-ERP candidates(apart from biz dev) and whether companies are ready to hire and train SPJ grads inspite of not having ERP/consulting exposure.

Pls clarify my doubts. It seems to be working heavily on my mind.

1. I did not receive any mail from SP Jain after submitting my application form. I didn't know that such an email was mandatory to come also. As a result, I do not have much idea of what I have written in my application form, though I remember a few details. Is there any way I can get a copy of my filled up application form back?

2. Is there any cut off score which we need to get in CAT / XAT basis which our admission will be confirmed? If yes, over the past years, what has this score generally been?

Need your help to answer these queries immediately.

I did not make the shortlist :( I tried positng on the other thread but it is closed.

This is the second reject of the season after ISB. Atleast they called me for an interview.
Anyways.. i have a query. I had applied to Info Management with my GMAT score. Now, there is no CAT or XAT score in the pipeline for me.

Is there any point in waiting for the second shortlist or should i accept the reject as final and move on?

hi prasanna/abhinav, i 've got a call from spjimr and i need to know one thing i.e if my CAT scores are not convincing cause of one section(verbal ) cause of the extreme ambiguity in the paper will i be rejected after GI , to note that i have also applied for XAT and might do it well... will the selection to second round of interview be solely based on the interview process ?? or will they ponder into why such a low percentile in VA if i happen to get a below 85%le in it?? i've no idea and that is why i'm asking you for help!!thanks a ton!!
