@Zippo
1. SPJ need not subscribe to wat ur university considers important and not so important. If ur first 2 sems dint mattr, y tk it anyway?? the point is, they matter..atleast 2 spj..and in more ways than 1.
2. Fr u, it mite b 2 sems off...for sm1 else, it wd b the last sem only...and fr sm1 else, all sems...so how do we uniformise all the scores?
3. Its been clearly mentioned in the online app form tat u need to furnish the aggregate % of all the subjects...y the assumption on ur part? Btw, it jus struck me, did u do the same thing for ur cat app form??
4. Its been mentioned in this thread/ the last thread (tat me and abhinav wer interacting on)...as to how exactly u need to calculate the aggregate %...unfortunate u missd it..btw, thr wer 2 posts on this fm us...not 1.
5. Anyways all discrepancies wil be lukd into once agn and if found 'passable', u mite stil make it...so keep ur sp dream alive
And finally, I Hope u hd a gud day at the intws...ATB.

I am a university rank holder, I just didn't have to increase my marks to show my credentials. The rank speaks for me. But then as someone says: SHIT HAPPENS.

Hi,
If u r bent upon a career wich wud c u managing the DEVELOPMENT of the s/w product, i think info mgmt is fr u...
Hvg sed that..mktg is an equally lucrative proposition..esp if u want to get into biz development roles, sales and mktg of the product..and above all...unparalleled career growth wich u wudnt really witness as a product dev manager..
Over 2 u now :smile:
Thanx Prasanna for ur suggestion....as I have already told that I want a role that involves managing a Product (Software Product)in the market ( i.e. launching the product, analysing customer feedback, coming up with newer versions of it,etc etc)...I am not interested in getting into the role of a development manager...and so, I shud take up Marketing...right??? But....am I not running into a bit of risk?? I am very specific abt my future goals.. and I wud never like to change my industry.....so...being in General Marketing...at the time of placement, I may get placed in some company which may or may not be into softwares....isnt it???what do u say...Am i thinking in the right direction?? Waiting for ur valuable inputs..
Thanks
Rajarshi

I completely agree with you. But 'Discrepency of data' means LYING. just think would you be fine if somebody calls you liar for such an issue?? It was a mistake, agreed but not a LIE. I don't think that one 1% that 'I lied about' would do me any favours, its an excellent score anyway (85+ in engineering and a university rank). And do give consideration to people like us, just think you guys were aspirants just a couple of years back.

I was thrown out in the first round. There were a number of rounds after that and you still think I'll make it???? Hope I had your optimism.

Hey Prasanna ,
I have the same problem as Zippo.. The average percentage that i put in my form is actually the percentage given on my Consolidated mark sheet.. however ironically that is less than my overall percentage including all semesters . Is that also data discrepancy as I have actually quoted a smaller figure ? Kindly reply..
