Hi ... would b grateful if someone could clarify this for me..
I've scored less than 85 percentile in CAT but expect a good one in XAT... I've booked the interview slot for 29th january, which is before the XAT results would be declared.
So will my low percentile in CAT be held against me and used as a criteria during the shotlisting for second round of GI?
Or would the CAT/XAT scores not be a criteria upto the 1st and 2nd round of GI and would purely be based on our interview performance??? | | | | | | | |

Hi Guys,
I had my interview today. went pretty ok.
There were 6 of us in the first round. 2 for Finance, 2 for IM, 1 M and myself in Operations... The questions were Why MBA, Work experience, projects you have done, hobbies, about the place you live in. We were also asked to mention one thing we would like to change in India. Then we started discussing about under resourced human capital in India n how to improve it.
I think it is good idea to mention your strong or distinct attributes in your profile that is likely to trigger questions from the panel in related areas. Something you would feel comfortable answering... In fact you might end up discussing your favorite topic within he group...
As for the second round 4 of us were selected, we had an online personality assessment test. After which we had another round of group interview (6 of us), which was pretty much similar. Mostly questions were related to your work experience, profile and we were also asked to discuss whether it is appropriate for the Media to exaggerate the news/facts to create increased revenue. In the end we were also asked to pick one candidate from the group whom we would select for the program...... A very difficult question, but make sure you give a logical reasoning for your selection...
After this we also had a written psychometric test...
On the whole it was pretty relaxed.... the whole process got over by 4 hrs or so...
hope the above helps
All the best guys
regards
