Well i have got a call....after da disappointment of iift...a pleasant surprise...
well my profile is purely acads based...

class X 83.3% (ICSE)
Class XII 83.6 (WB)....apparently very good in WB
college : st. xaviers
bcom 3rd year student
professional education : CA PE II nd CS Inter (got AIR 21 in foundation level)
good marks in 2nd year graduation from CU.....

well not much co-curriculum to show....was only the head boy in the school...


SP JAin ppl....pls tell me how to proceed now...what to expect in G-PI nd what kind is it goin to be.....kindly throw some light...nd i hope the interview will continue for atleast one week cos i have my selections in college from 14th jan till 18th....pls reply brothers....

I did not get a call.... Had applied for the finance specialization.....

They are saying that the second shortlist will be out after the CAT and XAT results are out.....so in most probability this second list will be out only in Feb or Jan end, after XAT results are declared....

Also going by last year's numbers, they had called 1285 student for interviews.....this year they have already called 1229 student in first list itself.......I really doubt how many more students are they going to call in the second list?? And do we really stand the chance???

I know its too speculative at this moment...but thats the picture i am able to see..May be the best thing to do is to wait till the second list is out and hope for the best

The profile sheet says use ur interview id given in the mail.....but i havenot recd any mail from spjain....am i supposed to receive any mail.....although i have my interview id from the list....are the mails still being sent or is it no prob if dont get the mail also.....

Will the interview be held only in mumbai? If so, y was a choice of center taken?

Also, havnt join any insti for interview prep. How to go about preparing for the GI?

I saw the shortlist, and my name is thr in thr specialization i'd selected.. but I did not get any confirmation id when i had submitted my details online, they had just captured the data that I had entered and sent it back to me to see if i had entered anything wrong.. so I'm not sure if I've been selected!!!!!
Will SP send individual e-mails to all the call getters... please clarify!!!!

Interviews before the declaration of CAT results will be held in Mumbai only. Interviews after the CAT results will be held at other locations too, which will be announced shortly.

So I think for second shortlist candidates, there will be choice of interview centres.

Ya get ur point...but the interview starts from 14th Jan...which is AFTER CAT results. So after the screening from the first list based on CAT scores, we'll b able to choose an interview center??? If so, how can we exercise a choice on 27th dec? throughly confused!!!

Actualy here it means that shortlisted candidates before CAT/XAT scores will have interview only at Mumbai

This link SPJIMR - SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai clearly states that these people will be interviewed only in Mumbai.
