hi,

me too in list.....good to see my name in it............
(applied for IM)

Gmat = 680
10th = 85.5%
12th = 86.8%
BE = 75%
work Ex = 3.5 yrs(IT) + 1yr (Non IT)

good amount of extra curricular + Lots of awards in Sports during school/College

hope people have started their preparations...good Luck to all......

Hi Prasanna,I have a better than average profile as per my view but didnt get a call for 2 years course. Is it possible that 3 years international experience and total of 5 years work ex. has worked against me for this course and the shortlisting committee would have thought my profile better for 1 year PGPM? I have applied for one year PGPM too. A brief of my profile is X 72%XII 72%BTECH (IITR) 78%Good Extra CurricularGive me some idea about my probability of shortlisting for 1 year PGPM>Deepak

I AM IN THE LIST.

My first call since I screwed up IIFT 2 yrs back......

My profile reads like this:

Xth : 85.00% CBSE
XIIth : 87.20% CBSE
Graduation : 87.00% (Mechanical Engineering)
The 87% in Engineering got me a UNIVERSITY RANK... Quite a lot of certificates in various cocurricular and extracurricular events.


Work Ex: 17 months in WIPRO. Working on Oracle Apps, an ERP tool. ERP ( from what I researched) is fundamental for Operations.

I applied for OPERATIONS.

Some good co-curricular achievements and decent extra curricular!

3.5 years with IT (Infosys and Qwest)
Applied for IM.

I just wanted all those who havent got a call to know bout this.. I've got a call.. a friend of mine applied along wid me, wid exactly same profile (his profile was probably a lil better) .. and he didnt get a call.. its really unfair (4 him) but i told him dat maybe he desrves something better(dont get me wrong.. i'm really happy dat i got a call and think dat SP Jain is really a very nice coll) .. but at the end of the day... u need to realize that sometimes crazy things happen... it does not mean that all ur efforts have gone down d drain.. it just means that u deserve much much more... and i always believe in d principle that the game's not over yet, coz i've not yet won ...
my two cents on dis issue of profile based calls...

Sorry if this has already been answered before. Now that the first list is out, are the puys in this list immune to the CAT scores?? Or a poor score in CAT leaves these people also high and dry???

If you have apped to SP and read the criteria, you should know that some % of the final score is for the CAT/XAT result - the min being around 85%..

My profile :
X : 92.8
XII : 89.1
BE : 82 odd..
Work ex : 16 months.

Lots of proficiency certificates during schools days. Not many extracurricular activities...

And by then way, I got a mail from SP Jain saying I ve been short listed
