Where in they can pick students from so many instis present in this cities.
would love to read a counter view on this.

Coming rather late in th thread, but anyway.
I am hoping this is a 'BIG' misconception around RGIIM. As far as I remember, IIM-I when it started off, had its first few placement seasons combined with one of the bigger IIMs like A,B,C. so if the same happens with RGIIM, and it gets aligned with one of the big three, then hypothetically speaking, one may have a better shot at the big league.

but i do agree with the other points mentioned in a previous thread, about infra, dearth of faculty, no alumni. but then, like the sensex, that is based on future speculation rather than present logic, i willing to back rgiim brand being up there with the rest of iims within 5-7 years.

Moderators / Puys,
I think most of us are facing problems in submitting the form online. Should we send the form offline ? Is there any procedure by which we we can inform the authorities about this problem.

TIA
Sid

1) Poor Faculty--why will the best professors go to a place as remote as shillong when they can easily manage a much better living in some metro....believe me even the professors hav a family to take care of..they hav children who they want to study in good schools and colleges
2) No alumni-- being a new institute...ofcourse there is no alumni...and its quite evident that taking aside everything else, ALUMNI association is the most important factor when it comes to placements..Strong and highly placed Alumni=Strong Placement
3) Terrorism-- also Meghalaya is known for terrorism. why should a person who can get around 95 %ile
My dear Jojo,
Could you plz list some incidents so as to prove your statement that meghalaya is known for terrorism? You will find more instances in bigger and well known cities(offcourse google is there for you to search). There can be two factors which made you post the above statements..1> You are total ignorant and lazy not to do a bit of research before coming to any conclusion. 2> you want others not to apply for the college so dat cut off comes down.
Any way plz refer to the post number 109 in http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/cat-an...illong-11.html (IIM Shillong) (IIM Shillong)
Dont mind but i would like to say that everybody will appreciate or prefer to see a well researched post. Anyone applyin to a college and later joining it ,will depend upon many factors , but the decision sud be based on more on factual accounts.

cat07 --> 95.0 (qa-98.6,VA-76.76) .. my first attempt..it went off without a scratch .. next year i will it....

snap-77.25 (dint apply to any college)
