Wat is the number of seats in IIMs(for general)

hey this is in reply to the earlier post
i quite agree with the figure till 1400 which includes call for A,B,C
but if u add 500 more for lucknow that means like lucknow has given calls to arnd 1400 ppl because it will def give calls to ppl who have got calls from the top 3
similarly for kozhikode and indore

I agree to that dude...most of the people who have got A,B,C calls have got calls from L too...

But I have seen quite a few who have got L,I,K...
And plus there are people who have just got a L call!!!
so i guess they would be calling a lot more people than A,B,C.

1400 could be the upper limit to the number of calls from L...

what do you say??

i beg to differ dude the reason being that in such a short span of time as already mentioned on this thread, 21 days its difficult to interview 1400 ppl
so i guess total number of unique calls sent by IIM's wud be in the region of 2000 to 2100 at the max
this view has also been corrobated by careerlauncher
so if u have any more points regarding this and any other information it wud be very nice if u wud post it here
and i wud like to ask one more thing wats the number of final calls sent by IIM B any idea dude

If the number is around 2000-2100 then its all the better cuz that means more chance of gettin thru...

I am not sure of the exact no. of calls sent by IIMB but everyone is of the view that it is around the 900 mark.

and dude i was asking abt number of final call and not the no of interview calls

Are you sure about this? I called up IIMB today and the guy on the phone said that they are not increasing the seats.

BTW, he says that IIMB results will be out by the 1st week of May.

Hi Vibhavan,

nikhil is right abt SM Datta saying that they r planning to raise the no. of seats to 260.
whether they do it frm this academic prayer or not is not known.
so lets start praying that it happens this year.
if u watch Bollywood movies u will know that prayers can really make such things happen. ...
