IPMG announces the admission process for the intake of its 3rd Batch (Session 2008 ) for the Two Year Residential PGDM (Focused on Oil & Gas Sector).

Any query regarding the same is welcome in this thread.

I would like to have a basic info about the institute....

What was the cat cutoff last year..???
How is the faculty in the insti..???
watzz this course all about..????(heard all about petroleum stuff..)
howzz the campus facilitites..???
how gud is the campus crowd..???
how cool is the industry interface of the insti..???
and last but not the least what is the placment scenario in ipmg.....??
how gud is the lateral placement over there and wat is the ratio of freshers to experience ppl...???
is it worthwile for ppl with workex to join ipmg....??

Last year the admissions were based on CAT+Acads+extra Curricular+Work Exp. and thus as such cutt off is not disclosed.

Faculty is too Good.. Starting from IIM A to IIM B, MDI Gurgaon, IIFT, MICA, Guest faculty includes prof who teaches in Harvard too.

Course is about Oil and Gas Management.

Campus facility is too good and one of the best infra that u can look upon.

Crowd is good starting from freshers too 13 years of work exp, from all the feilds.

Industry interface is too good.. guest lectures and all are conducted too frequently.

Placement week is scheduled in Feb 1st week.. Summer placements have already started and few ppl are already placed.

but there would some basic minimum cutoff percentile that ipmg would be lukin for is it that there is no minimum cat %le reqt in ipmg..and wat bout sectionals....please shed some light on this aspect....

secondly being a oil and gas course,i guess all the placments will be in oil sector comapnies...am i right...??

and if possible can u plz shed some light wat is the minimum pkg one can xpect after a degree from ipmg.....and wat r the kind of firms that summer placements have been done with...???

What is the average and highest package offered for the last batch.....?
I have seen in IPMG site...that one person was placed in GAIL....shall i know his package and post.....?

What u had seen was about Summer placements.

The 1st batch would be out in this May and final placements for the same is scheduled in Feb 1st week.

To be frank it was first batch under CAt and thus we are not aware about the cat scores.. but yeh admission was purely based on overall performance and not one or two.

Placement is mainly in oil and gas firm. But it also includes logistics, banking, consultancy, insurance, etc which all deals with oil and gas business.

As the first batch would be out in Feb 2008 so i cant comment much on the min pkg.. but package wld be good as this is one of the booming sector and oil and gas firm pays a very good package. Also this firms are facing acute shortage of employees with avg age moved to 48yrs in this sector. By the time u all wld be graduating this sector would be on boom leading to excellent package.

I have got 81 percentile in CAT this year, Do i stand any chances at IPMG, what about placements of this college
