I hope it clears....
Thats fine...

But how can we conclude that those have not received the mail asking for Reg. number are definately selected ?

For instance... I did not provide my Reg number on PGDCM form... now I did not receive any mail asking for it too .... and CAT answer sheet provides only Reg number ... so they should be asking Registration number to all the candidates who did not fill it in PGDCM form... rite ??

Either they have your registration no, or they have your application no.
from there they can shortlist you as in the results database, both registration no and application no are there.

Me too.....just got this mail...what does this mean...the wording is very confusing, considering that the mail has been sent to 50/100 odd people now, what does he mean by saying "some of you have not wrote"....how do I know whether I am in the "some"?....or should I send them the appln/regn no regardless?

And puys, apart from this, any speculation on what this confirmation mail may mean? ...reject? acceptance? or the more obvious means nothing?

Dear Candidates

This is to acknowledge with thanks receipt of your PGDCM Application alongwith the demand draft of Rs. 600/- for the Session 2008 - 2010. Some of you have not wrote your CAT 2007 Registration No. Please write your CAT Application Form No. with CAT Registration No.

With best wishes

it means that they have recieved the form you sent and nothing else!!!!!!!

if you notice they send the mail to multiple recipents simaltaneously
so the word "some"

in case you had given your cat application and registration no when you had sent the form then you need not reply!!!!!!!

else you need to send them the same.....

in case you do not remember please send your cat roll no immediately!!!!!!!

I obviously know they sent it to multiple recipients... but it makes more sense to send two sets of mails, doesnt it?...one to those who have sent their cat roll nos and once to who have not...and yes I dont remember if I sent my roll no, but as you say, no harm sending it again even if I had already

yeah same in my case.... I can hardly remeber when I had sent the DD. THis mail had reminded me that I have another open option..

and yes... there is no harm in sending ur CAF and reg. No once again....

Any Idea of how cruel is this battle...I mean how many would apply... and what is the percentile required to clear this... Is software exp. mandatory for this?
