I guess, TIME has the most accurate key this time. Last year, all institutes were way off the mark. In fact, I got more than any of the institutes in the verbal section. But, given that this year, the sources have been revealed, the TIME key looks to be the most accurate.
There are a very few answers that can be disputed this time. I personally dont agree with their answers for for q. 60(why isolated islands?? - i feel answer shud be option 1) and q.54 (where there's a slight chance that answer could be option4) for set 444. Other than these questions, their key looks ok)

Sadly, i'm getting the least acc. to their key (16). Last year though i got an overall 99 perc, DI took me down(89.something). This time it looks like verbal.
Anyway keep your fingers crossed. It ain't over till the IIMs give their key.

Hey anupsu,

I agree with you completely regarding the isolated islands questions there are actually quite a few ppl i know who believe that the answer shld be option one for that.

At the age of 20 we always think of what others think of us;
At the age of 40 we don’t care what others think of us;
At the age of 60 we realize that nobody has been thinking of us

Energy saved is equal to twice the energy produced. Save energy.

hmmm tat may seem right but there's one prob which is the assumption that they may evove differently .. what if they don ' evolve differently... tat's lik usin external info we can only compare thm and check if they are related or not.. but agn callin the continents as islands may agn seem as using external info.. it's totally skewed...

yup too much ambiguity in the paper.. so i thought option 1 was the best choice.

Re: CAT 2007 Discussions: Verbal Ability Section - 28-11-2007, 02:16 PM

there are a still lot more... infact i went through the original works and i'm still struck in the same place... but i can be sure of one answer ( hope it's rt cause even i'm struck in 16 and one or 2 rt ans can help me thru.. ) in the rules paradigms passage the last quest as to wat the author wud agree with.. the original work has a line which says tat paradigms are not indeed gen . representations of rules and beliefs shared by a sci . trad.. even if they were the word shared which is very imp s missing... and there was a line in the original work which indeed said tat paradigms are suffice to define sci tradition infact the whole book is only abt tat and paradigm shifts!!
