yes evey question gone wrong would attract 25% negative of the marks allocated to that q..like letzz say u guess a q A,which is of 1mark now if u get it wrong u owuld be penalized .25 marks for it..and if u get it rght u get plus 1....i hope this clarifies ur doubt........

This is true when we have 5-option ques like last time.. for 4-optioners, the level of -ve marking usually is -33% (in CAT and some other exams too), again to negate any advantage of blind guessing..

Continuing further, it is worth a thought (yet debatable) as to should one be guessing in an exam like SNAP (here the blind fluke advantage is not entirely negated)? And if yes, to what extent?

hmm...

gud q u touchd upon,we all have this urge to try few guesses just to try our serendipity and i am no final word in this...but all i can do is repeat that off beat line that dont just guess blindly..if u have narrowed down to 2 choices and u r fairly sure that the one u think is the rht answr,then is ay go for it.thiugh it all depends on you, thats not wat i prefer but if u really wanna go for it then go......

but personally i feel it all depends on person to person after all its ur own life,decision is all urs........

So wat ever u do do it with confidence...no half measures.......

and YEs THINK OF THE CONSEQUENCES BEFORE U ACT.....its either +1 or -vee?? cause some instis donn tel u the amount of -ve per wrong qtns so i say exercise caution in random guessin.......

Yeah rghtly said varun..iN iNDIA U GET ONE THING IN FULL and thast advice open any newspaper,tv channel,website and u would get loads of advice on how to crack cat..as if one day befor ppl wiill learn how to carck cta..this is nonsense....all u got to do is chill...

i guess the content managers of these chaneels have to be made known that cat is not an xam taht u can ace in one day...it takes lot of hardwork,grit and determination.....
