Gave Count-Down - 10 at 10 AM batch at the Sohrab hall.

I thought that the actual test would start at 10.30 (a la PreCat). However i was terribly mistaken and lost 20 mins in this confusion. (Also, lost my mental alertness )

Anyway, there are two answers wrong in the solutions.

Q1 - Altough, it is solved correctly in the solution, the answer option is given to be incorrect. It should be '4' instead of '3'

Q44 - In the solution for this question, 'PATNI' hasn't even been considered; dunno why . If we consider PATNI (Option 1), the answer changes to PATNI (1) as its percentage increase is over 70% whereas for ABN-AMRO, it is 40%.

Anyway, my scores: (In the order of attempt)

QA - 7A 4C 3W = 13 (Getting late messed up quant ) - 40 mins
DI - 12A 11C 1W = 43 - 55 mins (Assuming the answer of Q44 to be '1')
VA - 15A 11C 4W = 40 - Considering i could give only 35 mins, a decent score.

OA - 34A 26C 8W = 96 . It could have been lot better if only

PS1: Please let me know if i have solved Q1 and Q44 incorrectly.

PS2: I feel we should be having separate threads for Countdowns 10-6 and 5-1. Will aid us in discussions.

PS3: @yash22 Could you please add 'Career Forum' in the list of tags? Helps in searching for the thread

i also thought that i will get this question wrong, so could not attempt.
answer should be option 4,
but in the solution book explaination given is correct whereas answer mentiond is incorrect.
hope this will not happen for rest of the count down.

how will we know that how is our performance?
any clue to judge this? any suggestion?

Well... About the incorrect answers, i'll check out at the centre tomorrow when i go for CD-09.

And about analysis, i can't see anything on the site. Neither have they mentioned the cut-offs. I'll check this also tomorrow.

yes u r right,
they have missed the consideraton of PATNI while calculating the final answer.........

i am not very comfortable in stocks related concept so i always keep mysely away from these type od questions.
now i am realising that i should attempt them.
i have seen both the caselets came in reasoning section one in 2005 and one before that and this caselet in count down, are attemptable.
i will try it next time.
for that i need to solve these three caselets ance again,
i need to build confidence to attempt these question, i think i can do it!

My take on QA would be 22+..

My take on cut-offs would be:

QA - 24-25

DI - 34-35

VA - 34-35

OA - 100 + for a single call, 115+ for multiple calls.
