Sorry! KJS accepts only CAT scores for admissions for the PGDM courses, MH-CET scores for MMS and MAT scores are also considered forPG Retail. No XAT scores!

as of last year, there was a different form for Retail Management prog. Will let u know the last date for it after consulting the relevent people in a lil while.

Its a lil early to predict the expected cutoffs, but based on last years data, followin cutoffs can b expected:

PGDM: 85+ percentiles for freshers
90+ for ppl wid 1+ years work ex

MMS: 157+ in MHCET

Would like to get some info regd the cut-off for a call in Kj Somaiya..
i will be having a work exp 2.5 yrs by march 2008..and expecting a CAT percentile of 85..
my acads are
10th- 76.4%, Diploma in engg-72%,B.Tech(IT)- 8.64
decent extracurricular activities... what are my chances of getting a call...??

Also there a case of my friend who's the same amt of work ex and his expected percentile is arnd 89-90... but his VA score (-2)is in negative n we fear he wont clear the 50%ile constraint... what are his chances of getting a call from KJSomaiya n do ur instt have sectional cutoffs for the cat score...

please advice!!!

for the kind of score u are expecting, u can expect a call based on last years cutoffs. However, considering last years scenario, urs wud be a border case as we had people wid 84.xx percentiles who did not receive a call. As of now though, ur percentiles are mere speculations, and if u r expecting 85 then guess u can also expect a call.

As for ur friend...KJS usually doesnt hv well defined sectional cutoffs as such. However, a basic balance is expected. A negative VA score might be a tough situation but in case the overall percentile is gud enuff and if the work-ex is relevant, then ur friend might want to take a chance since KJS doesnt hv a particular policy abt sectionals.

I have a query. Like the person above, i've also got a good score in CAT 2k7, but VA scores are poor (thou not negative) and might be on the verge of the 50 percentile constraint. So do you recommend me applying to KJSIM.? I've 1.5 years experience and good academic records...

Till last year, KJS did not have a particular sectional cutoff specified. However, a balanced score is desired, and there is talk that this year onwards, some sectional cutoffs may be considered. Nothing is official yet so as of now u can safely assume that a moderately balanced score with the required overall percentile should fetch u a call. All the best!

as in i hv a total of 88 around 92 to 65%tile but in maths (-)3 so will it be considered...
