As advised to you,try to attempt that. But do take one thing in mind is that: we feel panic in quant as we feel this is quite easy(as engineers are doing it),so we try to attempt maximum questions. And during the process ,accuracy comes down.
So first make a goal of reaching the cut off during mocks. Then clearing it and then clearing it by a big margin. In the mean time you have to finish time/cl mateiral before mock begins and you have to start with other books.
Practice is the key,the more you practice the more your question data base increases.

Ya,its difficult to maintain the momentum, but we come with this statement when we come to know that others are completing material fast.Dont compare urself with others.Finish as much as you feel like with 100% absorbing power.
Dont be panic at this moment otherwise u wont be able to withstand the November pressure.

We joined PG to learn.Dont hesitate to post ur cat percentile in QA,as this can give us an insight into what can be done.

hey smita...
i dont see any reason for you to come this far for coaching. it wud be far better for u if u join a coaching insti in ggn itself. wud save u a lot of time for practice.

i agree.....
tough i am not from delhi
but i feel that the most imp thing in cat prep is self study.....
even if you can save 1 hr from transportation and put that into practice....
the benefits would be much greater!!!!

@smita

I attended coaching at TIME Gurgaon last year (the one year program). I think the centre at old DLF is pretty good, though the Sec 56 one is rather unconvincing. So, despite staying right next door to the 56 one, I attended classes at the other one.

Hello all,
being a newbie to the paalguy forums, i wud start off by introducing myself.
I am Abhishek. U can call me Ray (cuz thats my last name and wat usually ppl call me by). I work in TCS bangalore. And am hell bent on getting through to one of the top IIMs.
Hence CAT 2008 is an important exam fr me.
But along the way (i.e during this prep) it would be really nice if i could make some frenz here in PG.
so all the best to everyone for whatever they want to do in life (pre CAT and post CAT)
Rock on !!

Cheers !!

Re: CAT 2008 Aspirants - 26-01-2008, 01:35 PM

Now I was not sure of where to post ym query but I'd be really thankful to any one who can answer it convincingly.

I completed my collage exams (BBA) from IP Univ , Delhi in Mid June 2007 but my result was not declared before the mid - August . I have given CAT 2007 but really not satisfied with my performance and want to give it one more shot in 08.

Problem here being that I'm worried that IIM's or any other institute will consider my not giving CAT 06 (when I was in 3rd yr.) as a drop , the reason fro me not giving entrance exams in 06 was that I had my Semester exams (on almost all Sundays in Nov. and Dec.) and leaving those would result in a 1 yr. gap in my graduation.

From June 2007 I have been pursuing my CFA and plan to join work ex. from March this yr.

Can any CAT veteran tell me if this 06-07 so called 8 month Gap will seriously hamper my Prospects or if a CFA will be considered good enough to justify that Gap.

No one's been able to properly answer my query properly thus far and I really need soe proper advice on this.

nobody ever asks whether you gave cat earlier or not....
so not giving cat is 06, that question would never come up!!!!!!

and even if it does you have to justify it......
if you justify it properly then they would not go against you
and at the same time if you are not able to justify it, it surely would go against you......

it all depends on how you answer that question if asked.......

most probably tough no body would ever ask!!!!!!!!!!
