hi guys.....sorry i was off line for a few days......ya....seeing the above topic...its true...the CAT score wont ensure you a seat....it will ensure you a call....and about the academic weightage..its like point sytem..on how you perform overall.....but the academics dont have huge say also...its a combination of all the scores..including your GD//PI.....if you can do really well in CAT ...and along with your GD /PI..with a decent academic performance...it will be enough.....except for in 2006 or 2007 i think where IIM-b called only students with only 80% marks....many people cried out loud because the majority engineers and Bsc, Bcom grads got thru since it's easy for them to score good marks...unlike others in agriculture and other fields where scoring a 70 percent is a big thing...(by the way im a doctor where a score of even 65 percentage is an above average thing...i was able to score only 63percentage, my first year and final year marks faltered me)..but still if your academics are showing irregular performance, its believed that the interviewers will ask you about the discrepancy..and if you have a good reason they will consider it(this goes for people like engineers...i have no idea what my academic performance will say of me
...besides i have got to get that CAT score first)....in the end it all remains in one point ..you have got to convince the interviewers why you want to do an MBA...and i know many people who don't have a great academic performance studying in IIMS....its an all in the attitude and how things go on the D day

Hello Doc, i dont think u have to worry at all about ur percentage , i know how tough it is to get even 50% in many of the colleges atleast in karnataka .
And i think u have mentioned the reason , why u want to do an MBA in on of your previous post. and that sounds goodd enough. with a decent score in CAT , u would defenitely make into a top B school.
