Re: CAT 2008 Aspirants - 09-11-2007, 05:08 AM

Hi..Me too thinking of fighting the CAT in the year 08. I am working in a software company for the last 4 years and now decided to move on. Writing code was fun, but i believe pople needs to move on to find newr things. Lets use all the ways possible to support each other in this fight. We can use PG and other forums and also share documents and xls using Google Docs.

For e.g We can have a xls which has different sections from QA in different Sheets. People can then add different Questions they find, to the xls in one of the columns and the possible ans/easy method to solve it , in the other. Use PG for discussion and store the ans in one updated xls. As i am new, not sure if we can store the an xls in pg and update it every now and then.

nyways All the best for people who are targeting 2007.

Well not exactly a CAT 08 aspirant.Writing CAT 07.Just dropped in to share something.
If you should be preparing so early for CAT 07 the only preparation that makes sense would be for English.Read a lot.No point in mugging up words.Dont start full fledged preparations so early. Most of us wont be able to sustain the enthusiasm for a year.

Arts & Letters Daily - ideas, criticism, debate
Read a lot from some source like this.

www.tenaday.co.in
If you want to go a step further go ahead and take tests on this site.

For those who are Computer Science students study Discrete Mathematical Structures well It helps.

And you can dig up quite a few of threads here on PG and read say 5 posts a day.

Full fledged studies more than a year in advance doesnt make sense.

Hope It Helps!
Well if CAT 07 doesn't go well I will surely be back for CAT 08

Hey all!

Here are best wishes from all over here at IIMC for CAT 2008. Knowing the quality of the junta who frequent PG, I am sure that you would do exceedingly well

I am sure most of you would be cringing out to hear that one word of gyaan, and so, here it is. :

My senior, from IIM Calcutta, interviewed on how to prepare for CAT
TheBIG.tv - Video - CAT Tips: From the horses mouth - Vishal Haria, IIM Calcutta

All the best again.

Cheers,
Sunil
