I have quit my job now and am focusing on CAT 2008. I may take up a job in mid-August / September once my Mock Scores become stable. I have taken up AimCATs this year.

Would guys recommend taking another Mock series, say SimCATs etc. Should I go in for some sort of classroom coaching this yr, is it any good ?. Or should I focus on my prep on my own.

I would appreciate any enlightenment on this !!

Thanks in advance
Hi ljv,

Quitting your job is a very bold decision that you have taken. I feel that you should join a full time classroom coaching with ny good coaching insti as it would put u in touch with a good peer group, which wil further help u in ur prep.

I think it does....

They tell u enuf shortcuts n tricks but lookin at ur previous post n scores i believe u r thru with ur concepts n most of the thing they will teach will be repetition of wat u have alreday done....So u can get some higher level books n can prepare on ur own...

Or juz in case u have prob in either of the 3 sections then u can always opt for a coaching....
There is a very simple logic behind all coachin scenario...They can't go n give the xam for you...All they can do is to make u understand somethin in case u dun know that...But if have ur funda right then they wd be of very little or no help.....So spend ur money wisely...Rest is upto you....

Hi Federer,
I could give some explanation to ur query...but I would suggest you to go through this thread and also thread for the working class people too for CAT 2008. Since the insite that you will get will be the most beneficial...i also did the same thing when i started with.

Regards,
Siddharth

Hi abhishek,

I think the best was to kick start the prep for CAT is to join a good test series. It wil provide u a realistic picture where you stand right now and what are the areas u need to work on. Joining a test series wil aso put a pressure, to take the preparation seriously.
