Hi navneet023

It is possible to attend 2 mocks on the same day if the coaching institute have different timings for the test. If that is the case, you can appear for 2 tests on the same day but it would be very tiring. But again its upto you to manage the tests.

So it would be better if can give one test on Saturday and the other on Sunday, but again on the condition whether the coaching institute allows that

What I would suggest is that giving many tests will not help anyone, if you don't do a proper analysis of your performance. After the test devote as much time as possible to analyse the test and improve upon your weakness

Hope this helps you in deciding the test series. Also please don't post the same thing in 2 different threads, but wait for some time for someone to guide you or you can PM any of the Community Leaders regarding your doubts

Cheers!!!
Siddharth

But I was wondering all those who get call from IIM obviusly hav high %ile to ye scholarship kahan se aaya?????
Anybody knw anythng abt this thng?????????

my knowledge on this is limited....
but to the best of my knowledge what you have heard is totally true
there is a scholarship named ADITYA BIRLA SCHOLARSHIP which is given to the best students getting admissions......
the students nominated for the aditya birla scholarship are not necessarily the one with the highest percentiles......they are the best ones in terms of all round ability...so ur acads, ur percentiles, ur work-ex, and ur extra-currics all go into making a decision abt whether u r shortlisted or not. and at IIMA, the insti also provides scholarships to the top students based on the CGPA at the end of the first year....dunno abt the others tho (i guess they also must be having a similar system).

yaar, meri baat mano toh relax in the first sem of ur third year....starting ur prep in the second sem wud be enuff time......abhi se start karoge toh there are two major risks: u peaking too early or u burning out - both of which u shud look out for......just an advice to others also.....start prep based on an estimate of how long it will take u to reach the peak.....and dont push urself too hard.....

the flip side of starting prep early is that one has lotsa time to identify ones weaknesses and to work on them but i think 15 months is too long a period to do that......

personal opinion disclaimers apply

Also what I can infer from your post is an act of surrogate advertising for a particular coaching institute which also is against the rules of PG

If you want to provide some info about any particular institute, please use the PM facility for the same

@all: Use the Thanks button if you have really liked someone's post, instead of posting one liners

Hi Sid,

Chill dear.I was just helping that guy. This was not any kind of surrogate advertising. If this is surrogate advertising, then anybody recommending TIME /IMS/CF/CL/PT...... material/classes/test is doing the same.Of course, will take care in future about posting of numbers on forum.

hi abhi,
plz don't even try to think of telling your PM about this...
he will find a 100 ways to screw you up...
which will create additional pressure on you...both related to work and CAT too...

so plz don't tell anyone about it...
if you are so keen on taking a leave from work then I'd suggest you to go through your company's leave policy and try to find the clauses for medical leave...
i believe you can definitely avail a medical leave...

See that depends....I told my PM that i need her to reduce my workload since I have to perpare for that...n she did..

Now i dun carry the burden of work to my weekend classes...
But again if u r not sure of the other person's nature its bttr to be mum in office regardin ur CAT prep....

true.....its always advisable to first gauge the nature of the person u r dealing with........we have two project managers........one was about to leave the project and the second PM and his fellow PM friend were trying for Executive MBAs in IIM B and SP Jain respectively.......so I told my PM to reduce my work load since I knew it was safe and they too were in a similar position as I am in .......but again the timing is very important.......tell him/her is private as much as possible and the tone and voice is also very important......use a requesting voice as much as possible......another plus for me was the project I am working in is sheer crap and not even the PMs here want to stay in this project......so I was doubly sure that they wouldnt torture me into putting my heart and soul into this project since even they were supremely dissatisfied with their positions

BUT ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE AS SECRETIVE AS POSSIBLE AND CUT YOUR OWN WAY OUT.....TRY AVOIDING TELLING PMs AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE SINCE IT IS TRICKY BUSINESS AND RISKY TOO......ONLY WHEN THINGS GET OUT OF HAND (WORK PRESSURE INCREASES A LOT AND U ARE VERY VERY SURE THAT UR PM WOULD UNDERSTAND) THEN U MAY TELL PMs.
