I m an engg grad n presently workin in ggn...
Since mornin I ve goin thru various posts n expriences of ppl....
n diff ppl have diff strategy...I know i have strted late n I have to make one for me pretty soon....

Hope to see u all PGs regularly....

Dude, even i started preparing last week ... this would be my first attempt at CAT. Started with Quant cuz, i believe ,this section is very imp.
I know, it's difficult to simultaneously work and prepare for exam. I merely get 2 hrs for preparation, not sure if that's enough.
Any way, keep updatin' bout ur strategy and progress.....
cheers!

Solve and Explain.

If x^2 + ax – 1 = 0 then find the probability that the quadratic always has one positive solution. ( a E I )

1.0
2.9/10
3.1
4.Cannot be determined.

Probability is 1 as ROOT(a^2 + 8 ) is always > (-a)

I do not know if I qualify to what you mean by been there, done that. If you mean scoring 99+%ile in CAT, I don't qualify. 96+ %ile in CAT, I have and was a correspondence course student with IMS. A sincere aspirant is expected to complete his BRMs in 1.5 to 2 months. However, you'll find that you'll often need to go back and brush your basics when you start doing badly in tests in Parts C,D..etc. So, you will and should never reach a point when you say "I am done with BRMs and basics, only tests from now". The notion that one is done with the basics and its only sectional and full length tests from now is one of the fatal mistakes that aspirants make. Keep doing your BRMs regularly along with tests, even if you complete it once. Ofcourse, allocate less time to BRMs if need be. Just my take. Hope it works for you.

Hi everyone,
Iam a working professional and will be writing CAT this year with full dedication. Iam also a classroom student of one of the prominent coaching classes here in bangalore. Few days back, I attended one demo session of Byju where I was amazed to see the shorcuts and tricks he was giving which can really save time during the test. I thought of joining but I have a doubt like is it really worth joining his classes or just its just our practice that we can save our time in the real battle? Please suggest.
