thanks raghav.... I wld also like to know if I can score well in CAT if i adhere to my study plans, considering I dont hv an engineering background so Math ll trouble me somewhat
I attempted CAT last yr without any preparation at all... not even a look at any material, i jus wanted to experience the exam.
i managed 1 percentile in math, 51 in DI n 76 in Eng. hopefully this time around hardwork ll lead me to way better score

hi sohail,
i agree with the fact that non engineering background students don't find it comfortable...
but it doesn't mean that they don't succeed...:-)
have a look at this thread (All I wanted to Speak about CAT) and you ll definitely get pumped...
i had also taken cat last year but managed a meager 92 %ile...
hardwork does work wonder...it is the most important thing...

raghav
i agree for a non engg student its hard to crack the billi but through thorough analyzing of mocks one can very clearly find its strong n weak points and then decide the strategy for attempting the cat...

Hardwork definetely makes a difference. Take it from me - a two time CAT taker :-)
A few other things which I have learnt - develop your own approach to strategy, prep..etc. You can take hints, tips, do combined studies. But remember each person is different. Don't start your prep with preconcieved notions about yourself and how you should prepare. Listen to everyone, but don't follow a path blindly. As in life, there's no prescription drug for success in CAT. Only contributing elements - Hardwork, intelligence, smart strategy plus some luck. (All this is my humble opinion only)

Completely agree with GrimMan....great quote dude... Just wanted to add one more line....U need to have perseverance and determination....don't get lost in the crowd or feel bad if u score low in one or two mock....Keep the firing burning....Its the NOV D-Day that matters....
Best of luck to all of you...
