can anybodu suggest me is it worth to solve and take help of last year 10 cat paper .......pls reply as soon as possible ...because this is my firts and last attempt to give the best shot in cat !!!!pls suggest me somthing how to start with prpen 4r cat ..........
pls suggets sme good ideas and help me out

It will just give you a feel of how the CAT has progressed over the time..

But don't take it very seriously and consider it as it is just another mock.

hi Varun,
i'd suggest you to get some additional material for CAT preps along with the last 10 years papers...
no doubt as Jaydev has said it will give you a feel of the progress CAT has made over the years...but still you will need some practice for the recent pattern CAT has been following...
rest for the strategy you can browse this very thread and along with all other threads on PG regarding the prep resources...:-)

I have copies of old AceCATs and classic CATs of IMS......(given last year) ....will they give new ones this time or the same will be given this year also..

I need the info to decide whether to join SimCAT(1500) or SimCAT Plus(2500)?

Look friend. CAT is not a CBSE exam ..questions have never been repeated ..but there is no harm going through previous year paper..
as we say only thing predictable about CAT is its unpredictable..

regarding how to prepare. just go through previous posts..there is enough "gyaan" shared

No point in solving old ACECATs and classic CAT's.

The level of difficulty is pathetic and you will never get the real picture from them.
If you want to practice then get your hands on some old AIMCAT's or SIMCAT's

I DONT THINK IT WILL HELP YOU

just solve the last 3 yrs coz CAT has evolved tremendously over the time period....so no point doing al 10 yrs

hi puys,

well i am relatively new to this forum and absolutely new to this thread.

i took CAT last yr as well, but due to lack of seriousness and certain personal constraints, screwed it up big time!

though i could see it coming, it took me hell lotta time to get over, n as a result got a li'l late in gearing up for this yr as well. for the prep - i am planning to take the mocks, but skip the classes.

guys, i would like to get ur opinion on the same..is this the right thing to be done?
