Mysaviour

CAT 2008 will be on the same format as it has been and will not be online.
CAT 2009 will be online, though no updates are available on CAT site

Cheers

I don't think it's enough to just attend their classes and work only on the given assignments (unless and until you seem to learn everything from them, which is difficult, to say the least). So you have to take out some time for yourself. Keep a book (of whichever topic: Eng, QA or DI) with you and try and solve it's questions whenever you are free.... Also, the days which your office is closed, you should ensure that you take the maximum out of it..... it's not just about how many hours you study, it's actually about how much you can hold into yourself during that period of study.....

It's not very late to start things but don't put things off for later, else it'll get late at some point

Hi Shyam,
It would depend on which city you are from. Different centers have different schemes and it is alwayss a possibility that the ad is RIGHT. Some other puys were mentioning the same deal being offered by IMS. I think the best thing to do is to pick up the phone and call the numbers given in the ad.
Good Luck

Re: CAT 2008 Aspirants - 28-04-2008, 12:36 PM

hi Avinav2712,

I'm working as a SE in one of the most recognized S/W firm. The problem with me is not new.But really I'm in a big big mess now.I started preparing for the forthcoming CAT since december last year and was doing quite well till now.But since few days work pressure has actually increased, and will be increasing, and eventually am not able to devote the sufficient time towards studies. My PM is also asking me again and again to get my Work Permit ready to travel onsite(most probably this August for 3 months),but as I've devoted my heart and soul these months preparing all d way I don't want to go simply to be lost in a short term fantasy.
But the problem is I cannot straight away refuse him, as this might strictly affect my relations with the leaders. The time is passing by and problems are increasing, I also thought of giving up the job but didn't feel it as a good option. Can you suggest some approach that might save my dream from shattering?I'll b really thankful to you.

regards,
TG

Just find out whether it is 16 simCATs or 8+8 simCATs. Last year too such a scheme was there. Out of the 16 simCATs, 8 were conducted on sundays and the rest 8 on weekdays. The weekdays tests were not upto the mark.
