Another suggestion I have is investing some time in a book like 'Think without ink' especially to tackle Profit/Loss, Percentages etc. If people want, i can share some shortcuts that I learnt from there as well.

If your problem is 'lack of speed', then you could try reading a book like 'How to read better and faster'. That books has some tips and practice exercises that helped me a lot. You can pick up some very logical and easy steps to perform to improve understanding and read faster.

If you find that your mind starts wandering after the first few lines of the passage, (especially for economic/philosophical passages), the only mantra is read more and more.

Hi just a suggestion. To improve your reading speed you only have to do one thing ---- read, read and READ
Only if you read as much as possible, will you conquer the 'boringness' of reading.

Before investing in any such book i would advise you to read TOI, HINDU and ECONOMIC TIMES editorials. Even if they are boring to you, force yourself to read. Think about your future and develop a liking to reading.

If you have a phobia for reading and dont open your mind to the concept of reading, i dont think any book can help you

all the best
