I would advise you not loosing your hope regarding MBA. Also, please look for a job meanwhile as it will help during GD/PI. At the same time work on your quant and hope for the best.

firstly 9 months is a long time...
join time/cl/ims etc whichever is closest to your place.. pick up a good book on quants ( i suggest arun kumar)..
and check out the maths articles on totalgadha.com ( sorry mods if im advertising, but i feel this site helped me a lot with my cat prep..so i thought id lets others.. snipe it if you guys feel its inappropriate)

its too early to lose heart.. CAT is not the only paper, theres XAT, NMAT, snap, iift, mat, fms etc.. and most dont have tough quant..

I had joined IMS weekend last year. They are also the same. They take it for granted that you know the basics. They give you sheets to solve and rush through the probs as though the whole exercise of CAT is easier than HSC exams
Just my opinion though...

Their SIMs are good, but unrealistic tough sometimes, they provide real good analysis of the SIMs.
I am thinking og joining AIMCATs of TIME this year

Hey Neha, you have 9 months for cat'08
It doesent matter if you're an average student or a genius IIT material, what matters is how you perform during THE 2.5 hours on 16 nov 2008

Beleive in yourself, if you dont have self beleif then you dont have anything else....If the other person can do it then so can you, its all a question of who holds his/her nerve and who has the conviction to walk the path without faltering

hey neha cheer up .........nothing is impossible in life & as far as cat goes u can still make it to one of the IIMs , 9 months is a lot of TIME .......& quant is one such Part of Cat that one can be sure of scoring 99.99 % .......what one needs is PRACTICE...............sweat it out & make it happen for yourself ...............

Hi Guys,

Normally I am not regular here, but now i feel is the time to call it GO for 2008!!

Lets come out with some good strategies as we have ample time for the game right now.

So can anyone suggest how best we can utilise the time right now.? I was planning to walk through all kinds of questions in DI and Quant i came across my preparation last year to ge used to it by the time the test series etc start. and ofcourse, for english we all know the mantra... Dear Neha, we just started the war ..each and everyday is a battle...take it each day as it comes..work religiously as much as u can.Im very weak in quants.Im a doctor and it has been almost 7 years since i have touched maths, but my friends say its not an issue at all...get the basics right and try to solve problems..take time to understand the basic and concepts and practice and the folw to crack the questions will naturally come.Dont try to leave the other sections too.Verbal and DI are equally important.Saying that we are strong in them can be an overstatement because anything can happen on the D-day. i wud suggest to take as much mock tests to get yourself used to the exam atmosphere.Please dont say you are quiting even before u start working.Maybe by around july -august many of us will say why did we even think of getting to this stuff. Hold on to your marbles. You never know, u might hit the gold pot.

hi everyone ....i am new to PG ......i went thru some of the blogs ....i must say that its very encouraging to c like minded people interacting at a common forum.......

i am also in the same boat ....gearing up for cat 2008 ...i have a work ex of about 1.5 yrs(in ofcourse in IT industry )

i had attempted CAT 2007 but faired miserably with 61 % percentile ....donno as to wat is gonna happen this time .......and becoz of the poor percentile that is secured in cat'07 i am also feeling very demoralized .........looking forward to share strategies and approaches to bell the cat.....
