plz visit the quant thread on PG, u'll find many tips and tricks along with great masala to improve the respective section as a whole...rest is all practice...

can anyone tell me the total fees for 2yrs mba course with respected name of institues. for example, symbioisis, iims, etc. is there a huge diff in fees among various institutes? pls help its urgent

please reduce your font size..people here will answer your queries irrespective of your font size and this thread is not the right thread for posting your queries.pls use the search option to post your query.you can also find the fees in the CAT bulletin and the prospectus of the respective B-Schools.also you can log on to the institutes websites and see the fee structure..

Studying from books like arun sharma n at later stages joining a test series is ok or i should join a correspondence course from ny institute.

planning 2 take CAT this yr and rather cracking it.........i have been a failure all through my life and when i mentioned 2 my frnds that i want 2 do mba 4m iims,they laughed at me...m here 2 prove myself and i know most of u r here with a dream in ur eyes.....so wat r we waiting 4......lets do it....

Accepting being a failure throughout requires lots of courage and your attitude inspires me already

Its a common prob
You can brush up your basics from 10, 11 and 12 (commerce) maths textbooks. For advanced probs I would suggest Arun Sharma its the best.
Also go through the PG thread on Quant prep.

Also, concentrate on Quants in your mocks and analyse it carefully. You'll soon know that you dont need to be a math wiz to score >95% in Quant and thats more thane enough

Some important topics (according to me )

Time speed distance
Ratio proportion and variation
Work, pipes cisterns
PERMUTATION & COMBINATION ****
PROBABILITY *****
Mensuration
Quadratic and Linear equations.

You will realise that Quant in CAT is more logical than anything. You just have to think about ways to do it faster than the average CATtaker
