Guys, I actually went to UBS today and spoke to the chairman Prof Dinesh Gupta.
It seems the list was originally delayed due to administrative changes at UBS...I was clearly told,"We are hoping to get the list out by next week"
The list has to be signed by The Dean(Exms) and The VC, which usually takes 3-4 days...So guys no use worrying for the coming week...
The tentative date I was given is 15th...The chairman was nice enough to note down my number and call me about any updates...
Also it seems gd/pi's will be held within 10 days of the list as the institute itself is worried about losing students to other Institutes...

This looks like a bit assuring. Here comes a SIGH OF RELIEF that there is someone who is keen on giving admissions this year itself.

Guys, there was an article in the tribune quoting the real reason for such delay. As HC has abolished previous nri quota. PU is not sure upon the new guidelines. They are scrutinizing every form separately to see which applicants come under this revised quota of nri. This is may be the possible reason for such delay in shortlisting students.

hey buddy
HC abolished the NRI quota towards the mid of last yr .....UBS knew beforehand that these things would crop up .....n no amount of justification can explain this enormous delay ......we all r cuming up wid one or the other reasons as 2 y the delay is caused but UBS seems to be least concerned .......
It has been 4 and a half months since the CAT results came n still there is no sign of results ......this attitude of UBS is raising many eyebrows n all we guys can do is sit back n wait.....when we guys call up UBS all they say is result kal aeyga.....when we guys vist UBS they say the same......UBS needs to sort out these things at the earliest 2 prevent its reputation frm sum big time beating

i don't believe it in leaving it as it is . we have pais for the form so we have right to know the procesing of our application and criticize ubs for unexplanable delay and improper planning. harender i would like to ask u one question. ok even after taking admission if there is some problem which can affect our careers badly will it is advisable to leave on god ? god has given us medium of expressions and think. so we should make our efforts and the rest we can leave in his lap.
