so toking of choosing college based on placemnts i will say - fore =nirma while ubs and kjsomaiya have slight diffrnce
but their r factrs like ROI, infra , etc which actually make them same .

Friend, you are little wrong in your analysis. The average salary of FORE as mentioned in their placement report is 8 LPA and this includes both freshers as well as laterals. After talking to some of my friends who have been selected in FORE, I came to know that thay had a chat with the seniors wherein they mentioned that the domestic average is around 6.5 LPA (not sure of the exact figure but definitely less than 7 LPA).
And one more request, please don't discuss other B-Schools on this thread as mods will ban us!!!

well dude,,,sounds like being offensive,,,,but m sure tht for laterals it was 9 lpa,,u can check this article - last line ,,,or even there placmnt report,,,m nt sure wats there domestic avg package is i gave tht analysis acc, to the given data of 3 intl offers and max of being 26 lakhs,,,,

but for u i will say it again.... there is nothing best in summers...

if u get better jack... u opt out for campus....

one reason more... many guys with NRI sponsorships....so big jacks....with many ppl..

like my uncle is VP-HR in Airtel, he can get me a better project than what Godrej and Boyce can give me... where i have got my summers from campus.....

so it was my decision whether i want to go with my jack... or with campus....

one thing more... all this is very subjective and differs with the perception of each individual...

Hostels are good.... better than the expected Govt hostels......

u get room on single occupancy.... and wifi is there both in hostels and college....

Charges are minimal.....

and extra-curriculars - we have a business club, which organises some special activity each week, renowned cricket team, alumni club----- something or other is always happning....

u get to do everything that u want to do in UBS.......

will this picture improve over the coming years as now there are no nri seats
plz dont say that nri seat dont have any effect on plcmnts
even a child can quote this
when there is a crowd of even 77 percentile is studying with u , it bound to have effect
whats about this yr plcmnts wht is the lowst pckge
please throw some light on my queries

dude... i will give u a very frank reply....

please dont take it offensively....

first of all regarding what u have heard.... i joined UBS last year.... was the coordinator of our Summer Placement... and was very active in the placement week that was held in UBS....i was there most of the times when the results were declared in the audi.... for most of the firms... have attended the ppts.. presented by the companies...which tell us the packages also.... this is absolute rubish that most of the ppl get around 4 lack....
UBS holds its placement through placement week... where day -1, day 0, day 1... places around 70-80 % ppl...... during these days the companies are arranged by the profiles offered and the package offered....

no firm below 6L package was given the slot on these two days...

barring IOCL and TCS... which gave 5.75 as the package... IOCL has upgraded the package to 8... while TCS is yet to come out with revised figures.....
so around 4 thing goes..

and regarding NRI students and there caliber....
although u dont need to worry about the NRI thing now... as there are no nri sponsored students.....
but just for some factual information.... last year... that is in my year... the nri students having percentile less than 90 is just 5.... and for ur information those 5 were in the first 20 students who got there summers....

u knw dude... no cv mentions the percentile score.... the cv that u give for ur placements....

i will say... only a child can say that 77 percentile is actually main lower than a guy with 99 percentile....

but a recruitor is looking for a person who can do a job... for which he is recruiting an mba.... not a high percentiler....

what gives u job is that u shud have content.... and u shud have the personality.....

CAT percentile by no mean is the final criteria for placement... thats something that u simply judge that a good percentilers are better... but in what sense ??? i ask u....

all 99 percentilers are better in personality and content than a 77 percentiler ???

hw many of ur frens who might be better than u got a percentiler better than u ???

i just say.... its an individual who takes the job....

and all colleges have students from the special categories.......

i dont knw u r aware.... bt do ask... whats the cut-off for IIMS for special categories ???

alot of things count.... and the lowest package...

i am really not aware of it.... i have asked the seniors....

will tell u about it....

right said..hardly any diff between 77%iles n 97%iles...
i got 94.23.....its 2 easy to score...may b a person scoring 77...might be far better than u...he cud be an engineer or a doctor in such case...
placements sees d collg rep..then batch....
wether nri seats r ther or not...it wud hardly affect placement thing...
now if package is arnd 7 lac...coz ther r no nri seats..it wont rise upto 10 or even 9....it wud rise as usual per year to 7.5 or 8 .....
i have seen ppl struggling in IIMs for a job..
