UBS 2008-2010 Admission Queries

hey rahul,,,
can you please tell us what has been the median salary and average salary this year?
were there any foriegn placements?
i tried but cudnt get even the slightest idea about placements in ubs.....also i heard that not all students were able to have their summer placements?
how were the placements in IB?

the avg salary was 6.2L (after revision)....bit less....but the return on investment is worth it....

median salary : 6.3 L

mean salary : 6.7 L

But the figures are going to be revised.... with most of the firms revising the packages nowdays.....after the financial year closing.....

IB students get marketting profile.... few get finance profile..... so they are very well placed....

and regarding summer placements..... 110 have been placed in the batch of 140....

few have opted out of taking summers from campus.....

sumers have been very good this year... with highest 44k per month..... stripend....

most of us are getting very handsome stripends with excellent projects.... much better than others...

firms like Godrej, GSK, American express, IOCL, LG, DHL, Goodyear etc..... have come for summers.....

thanks atleast some senior has come out for our help
as there will be no nri seats frm this yr so thre will be definite decrese in cut off percentile how low can it go for this yr
can u plz tell me in layman term that what are the chances of converting a call from ubs at 96 percentile
plz tell me in comparision with the previous trends

Ya dude.... very recently the package was revised for IOCL and few more.....

i confirmed today with placement cell for the figures.....

well no nri seats shud not affect the percentile cut off......

as the number of general seats are constant......

96 is a very decent score....... u will be able to make it... if u do good in GD PI....

hey rahul,,,,any idea of results?
and colleges like lbsim fore nirma kjsomaiya have show 20-30% increase in there avg, salary from last year,,,but ubs has shown less or more no change?

wont abolition of nri seats will increase the general seats and hence decrease the cut off
how many percent of students(approx) above 96 faced rejection last year
plz answer this frankly
i am waitlisted in others , this will definately give me some boost

I'm not able to understand why people would opt out of summer placements from the campus?? Does that mean that companies are not interested to recruit for summer placements?? Why are they looking outside if that's not the case??

I have certainly about such cases in other colleges but those are lesser grade colleges and I certainly didn't rank UBS as one of them.

Anyways, the median and average salary are good enough, esp. the median, which is quite close to the avg., which is not the case with most top schools whose median is quite a few notches below the average. So real good work on that front. However, the ROI you were talking about will decrease if the fee is increased. Hope despite the fee rise, the ROI remains intact, which means, much better placements
