It means they must be going for a real thorough check-up of everyone's profile, scores etc. and will directly come out with a final merit list

or is it centralised at chandigarh..how did it happen last year..seniors please throw light on this..

I tried sending an email to the Academic department(got info from their website..... the link is University business school-Contact) but it failed..... Thus, sent an email to the alumni association...... Surprisingly, there was no separate admissions department, as is normally the case with most of the b-schools..... Hope I do get a reply, although chances are remote..... I'll post my email here for your reference

Respected Sir/Ma'am,

I had applied for UBS Chandigarh and have been waiting for a long, long time for the GD/PI shortlist to be declared. Now most of the colleges are either in the final leg of GD/PIs or have already declared their results(merit lists). I can't really make out as to why it's taking such a long time to come out with the GD/PI shortlist. I have already converted two colleges, both of which are pretty well placed amongst all and after such a long delay, am not really interested to attend. This has nothing to do with me being over-confident or uninterested, but more to do with the unprofessional attitude that's been displayed by a college of national repute. If the shortlist would have been declared on time, I would have surely attended, even if I would have been selected by then.

Please note that more you delay, the more the college is at the loss of bright, prospective candidates, who would have till then been selected somewhere else and would not even care to attend the GD/PIs. And even more than that, word of mouth will affect the college's reputation and it may show in the next year, when people might not wish to fill its forms. Please take this as serious as with each and every passing day, more and more aspirants seem to be developing an aversion towards UBS.

Expecting a reply as to when is the exact date for declaration of shortlisted candidates, the conduct of GD/PIs and the declaration of merit list.

they r definitely loosing candidates..n d way they attend phone calls...it seemz as if we have done some mistake by calling them...n their mondays neva ends...
they delaying it just to remove d waiting list thing....
n m relaying too much on this institute though i have v low percentile of 94.23
i hardly see any chance of getting call...n by delaying it they r disturbing mentally..

i had a talk wid some official of this institute...news is they r planning to increase seats...but not of ubs.. a separate college under same university ,panjab university...

as they have stooped nri sponsored seats..they r only admittin nri/foreign candidates..which hardly apply to this university
to generate revenue they r planning to open a separate institute under same univ but not under UBS


so lets c if its true...
n plz tell me if i hv some chance in 94.23 percentile....

I think you should get a call atleast.....provided you clear their sectional cutoffs....... don't know when will the result come though.....

i dont think so, that ubs go 4 sectional cut-off........
if, there is any senior, then do guide us.........
n tell me, wat matters to get into ubs????

with lowest in va-58.69
wat is d average ctc this year.................
