What's this? This is not how I would like to see this community grow. Nikhil was just trying to calm things down, and in no way can his post be inferred as offensive.

I think you need to take a break. Take CAT, focus all your energy there, emerge with flying colors and come and post your score here! All the best.

How foolish of me to even try and put some sense into a person who is oozing sense... my only concern being if it has been used yet ...
my apologies.. i hope you will forgive me and bless me so that i can crack one of the toughest exams there can ever be.

Apart from the needless controversy, which has been brewing in this thread, I would like to point out 1 thing here.

I think a perception was created among the junta that this article dealt with this year's CAT paper. By all means, this year's paper is a "paper-only test".

The article was only referring to any future CAT paper, and the changes, if there are, in the format would take time.

Even i didnt like the idea of CAT going the GMAT way...as it will create troubles for the people who have already invested a good time in preaparing for the paper based exam ....held once a year........??:??:. Most of the proponents of CAT going this way may be happy because, either they have preapared for GMAT or are thinking of preparing for GMAT.......

All the advantages which allied institutes garner due to this once a year approach of CAT can be nullified easily if they are denied the permission to sell their forms before the cat results .....

hoping to give some support to lone warrior and change the topic of discussion.:satisfie: wonder i might get netted in this one....

The controversy is started as storm in the tea cup and blown out of proportions. now that both sides have restrained themselves , one hope that it is not rekindled by stray remarks by others

oops, the placing of this post may give a wrong impression.

this post is not a response to the above post of fultoo _ Bakar, is infact in support of that
